Her house had a foreclosure lien put on it. She filed a lawsuit that she dropped. She took a waaaaay long time to pay off her college loans.

Why are you smearing her by calling her a liar?

O'Donnell for Senate

Although I did not have the misfortune of facing a home foreclosure as my opponent alleges, millions of Americans – including scores of Delaware families – ARE facing just that right now.
She sold her home before it was finally foreclosed upon. But she called her oppoent a liar for circulating a foreclosure lien, and here you are saying there was a foreclosure.

17 years later:

“She’s gone through the process to receive her degree, that’s not the story. She fulfilled the last course requirement this summer. It was just a general elective course,” said O’Donnell campaign manager Matt Moran.
She didn't wait "way long" to pay off college loans. Her previous story was that she didn't pay her tuition (student loans wouldn't hold up a degree, I had my degree before I paid off my loans).

Now she says that after she paid off her loans, there was "questions" about her degree, and she had to take another course to satisfy those questions.

Her web site tries very hard to pull these all together, to make it all work as a common narrative. It is unfortunate that she has to work so hard to reconcile her own statements from different times.

Yes, it is also unfortunate that conservatives get asked to do this, while liberals don't. But I don't think many of us think that the liberals have it right.

You are exactly right - they are talking about anything but the substance of the article as though the subject is about her being part of the tea party and Castle being part of the establishment. This has to do with integrity...and some of her explanations for her problems simply do not make sense.

All of this time and money being spent on O’Donnell would be much better spent in Nevada to help Sharron Angle. Defeating Mike Castle in a primary is not worth Sharron Angle losing her race. The race is neck and neck...if she ends up losing by a thin margin to Harry Reid the money spent in DE could have made the difference. Our Country Deserves Better PAC / TeaParty Express needs to fight just as hard to get their candidates elected in the general as they did in the primaries...expanding too much to other areas can stretch resources thin.

“I actually received a call after the election (from Murkowski) saying, ‘Mike, you need to be prepared, they’ll (the TEA PARTY) come at you hard,’ “ Castle said after a campaign stop in Millsboro, Delaware. “It was part of a broader wake-up call that’s been going on for several months now.”

You and others keep saying this as if there is this person called “GOP” who sits in an office somewhere, vets candidates, and picks which ones get to run for office.

It really does seem like people don't understand this.

I feel like you made an honest attempt to provide an answer.

And I understand and accept your response.

Two things....first, it’s hardly a level playing field to be dismissing one candidate when so little is known about the other. I know nothing about Mike Castle, do not know what college he went to. But I know all about O’Donnell’s college troubles, her money issues. In order to judge anything you need an equal amount of facts.

However, I DO know about Mike Castle’s voting record. And so far I think THAT is way more damaging to this country than electing Christine O’Donnell to replace him. I’m pretty sure that Christine will vote AGAINST CAp and Tax and to repeal Obamacare. That outweighs her past money issues in my mind.

Second, Christine is all we’ve got right now. I wish we had a candidate who never had a past due bill, who graduated summa cum laud from college, was an Eagle Scout and won two purple hearts in the military.

And right now is when there is a competition of O’Donnell against Castle. Not four years from now when we can maybe find that timely bill paying former Eagle Scout with two purple hearts. Whom i am sure they’ll find something on...but I digress.

So I weigh the flies in O’Donnell’s ointment. I also must mention that I know Christine personally, have spent hours talking with her, consider her a friend of sort. I’ve criticized her plenty, to her face, yes i have.

But i have to trust my own judgement on this and by me she’s a fine woman, very nice, good speaker, a Christian. so throw iin my own acquaintance with the person which might not mean much to others but it’s part of my criters. I’m sixty years old and been around. I’d know an outright charlatan if I’ve met one. I’ve also met Mike Castle very personal and I’ll not lie, he’s a delightful and very nice man.

He’s just a Democrat is all.

So far there’s been nothing in Christine’s life that would have me voting for a man who is, essentially a Democrat. Even this dropped lawsuit, her past money issues which she did handle, even the cloudy story of her college.

She’s a woman who truly believes she was meant to lead. I think she can. She believes in her Christian Conservative values.

Dear Lord she’s not perfect. But she’s what we’ve got right now and she’s who the Delaware GOP thought was good enough to nominate in 2008.

Good luck on finding that timely bill paying former Eagle scout with two purple hearts.

My previous message to a RINO supporter:

I still support Christine O’Donnell in the Delaware US Senate race.

At this point, I don’t care if you have video of her whacking kittens in Lizzie Borden style.

Establishment RINOs such as Mike Castle need to be defeated coast to coast, even at the risk of losing the seat to the properly labeled Democrat. I’m sorry we can’t retire 100% of them, and I’m sorry we can’t get 100% conservatives in both houses of congress. I don’t care if we have to replace them with ditch-diggers, janitors, or waitresses, so long as they promise to vote against big government, big taxes, and big socialism.

Well I’ve worked for the DelawareGOP for many years and that’s pretty much how it works whether you want to believe it or not.

Someday I’ll go into it but it’s off topic. But they do pick waaaay in advance who they’ll support and it doesn’t much matter what they believe or how they vote.

all they gotta do is have lots of money.

One year the nominated some dope called Jan Ting. Ting had a lot of money but didn’t know anything. His main talking point was “I do whatever President Bush would do”...this was when Dubya wasn’t Satan in a suit.

In 2008 Jan Ting was an Obama supporter, could plainly be seen sitting and cheering Obama when he was in Penna during a campaign stop.

Heh.

Just for you CharlesWayneCT. It turns out you were just a RINO working for Castle when you whined about too many Christine pix.

You keep citing “youtube over the years”, as if you think there is a youtube that will explain why she filed a 6.9 million dollar lawsuit that claims her employer’s conservative philosophy force the subordination of women, and depressed her so much she needed professional help and couldn’t work for a living anymore and so needed 100 years worth of her salary.

Whereas none of us are arguing about what she says. We are arguing about things she has done, that she has admitted to herself, that make us believe she will never win a general election.

Most people don’t ignore this stuff. It may not be fair, but you think people are going to elect a woman who has NEVER served in ANY elective office, who when she was demoted broke down, couldn’t sleep for months, and needed professional mental health treatment?

She was already a long-shot. If she would admit her mistakes, it might help.

Misleading the court about her educational background, the nature of the suit and the amount of damages sought bother me. The whole thing challenges her credibility. I’m beginning to think she’s just a hustler. Couldn’t the Tea Party have found someone better than this? Maybe they should have vetted her better, ya think? This stuff is public record.

The media really has something to crucify her with now, something tangible that the public will give credence to. If she wins the nomination, the media will pick this suit apart until she’s completely destroyed - death by a thousand cuts.

We still don't know crap about Obama (thanks to the MSM) and he was elected President. How bad could she be?!

I don't think we need to ask for her birth certificate or if she is a Muslim, how many homeless brothers she has living in a tent in another country or if George Soros is paying for her campaign. That's just a guess of course. /s

Hey, if I lived in Delaware, I might still vote for her, just because I really dislike Castle. Although at this point I’d probably just stay home.

There is no way I’d vote for Castle in a primary. And frankly, I doubt I could vote for him in the general election — at least I’m glad I don’t have to make that choice.

She won the primary in 2008, and then went on to compete against Biden in the general.

She was the only republican candidate in the 2008 primary. And she hardly "competed" against Biden, getting a lower percentage of the vote than McCain did against Obama.

This wasn't a campaign release, it's a news story based on an interview and including factual information.

“you think people are going to elect a woman who has NEVER served in ANY elective office”

This credential is a huge advantage for our side. Take names out of the phone book I say, and put them in Congress as has been suggested before.

Again, you give away your ruling class mindset. Slow down, and take a look at it. The ruling class will destroy our nation.

My own correction, it was an opinion piece, not a “news story”, based on quotes and facts.
