Rain is what this storm shall produce. If it continues to creep along, it will be a lot of rain.

This is still just looking like another average hurricane season. I guess if the gloom and doomers who have been guessing everey season since Katrina is going to be Armegeddon keep doing so eventually they will be right.

I don’t pay attention to pre-season prognostications. Those forecasts are less reliable than predicting the NCAA basketball champions before the first game is played.

Nauti, thank you very much. We're finishing up last minute details.
What I can't understand, is - is Hermine folded into invest 90 as one storm, or are they two separate storms?
Anyone know?
We're already awfully wet down here.

Hermine used to be Invest 90. Some of the wx sites haven’t cleaned up following the upgrade yet.

I guess the GW crowd are eagerly watching the shaded area hoping for a major storm.

Thanks for the update NautiNurse. I am just north of Corpus Christi and am keeping an eye on this. Should get a lot of rain here. My Dad and Step-Mother are in from California and my Step-Mom has always wanted to experience a hurricane (not sure why). While this looks to be a mild Tropical Storm it will give her a taste.
Went down to Aransas Pass harbor and water was up above high tide already (it has been the past couple of days). I will post what I am seeing down here later.

Long before global warming, hurricane wishcasters have yearned to watch death and destruction. Voyeurs.
