The link has several references that negative campaigning is strategy used at the end of a campaign.
Can you read?

You are the one who claimed that Obama is rising in the polls.
That is clearly not true.
He’s in trouble.

The ad attacked Dukasis’ decision in office.... as a public official of the state of Massachusetts.
It was not a personal attack.
It was a POLICY attack.

Any decision he made as an elected official is fair game. Any policy he has advocated as a candidate is fair game.
Personal life (ie, where we get the phrase “personal attack” is off limits).

The link has several references that negative campaigning is strategy used at the end of a campaign. No quotes, naturally. And your original assertion was that "attack ads are only effective in the last weeks (or even last days) of the campaign- NOT for the last three months of a campaign."
Dishonestly moving the goalposts once your originally falsehood collapses. How RINO of you.

Give an example of a "personal attack" made by a candidate if you would.
Also, would attacking Clinton for his many personal indiscretions be "personal"?
When Sarah Palin said Obama "palled around with terrorists", was that personal?
Sorry, just trying to understand what you are saying......

The ad attacked Dukasis decision in office.... as a public official of the state of Massachusetts. His personal involvement in the release of Horton and other convicted killers. No wonder you're so terrified of answering Lakeshark's question about what you mean by a personal attack.
If you answered, it would screw up your fan dance.

Conference Chairman Mike Pence (Ind.) pressed his party to attack ideas with which they disagree, but to avoid attacking opponents during an election cycle that has been noted for its heated rhetoric. So how is this supposed to work?
"Fellow citizens, (or "My Friends"), my esteemed gentleman/lady colleague advocates the total destruction of our USA economy, the total abolition of freedom and constitutional law, and the enslavement of our citizens and their progeny forever. But, let's not hold that against him/her personally; we should respect our honest differences. However, if you should want a slightly slower path to destruction and perdition, cast your vote for me, the milquetoast, limp-wristed, RINO alternative. Thank you."

>> This is like the McCain standard: Never attack Obama, attack Hayworth instead.
That’s right. “It’s okay to piss on your own team.”

Dukakis did not get Willie Horton released by calling in a PERSONAL favor.
Dukasis got him released through his professional actions as governor.
Duh!
If you think that the Republicans can win using personal attacks on the amount of golf Obama plays, the lavish vacations that they take, his overuse of a teleprompter, Michelle’s big butt or what Barak did in the back of a limo years ago with Larry Sinclair, more power to you.
But those are not issues that the Republicans need to be talking about is they want to win in November.

Once again you are wrong... I stated Rasmussen shows him gaining in support and he does... you tried to counter using gallup and gallup was not the reference that I used. Check FR today for the Rasmussen thread and see for yourself.

Dukakis did not get Willie Horton released by calling in a PERSONAL favor. Nobody said he did. But thanks for the disingenuous straw man.
