So as someone on another website mentioned
Many of their cultures embrace child prostitution, selling children into labor or prostitution, FGM, beheading, stoning, terror, kim chi, torture, polygamy, kim chi, and many other affronts to modern society and its respect for feminist rights.
And another poster - usually considered a troll on fark.com
The "beauty" part of these contests has been completely lost. Someone can have a beautiful personality, a beautiful outlook on life, a beautiful intellect. Nothing wrong with having a beautiful body either, but then you take that and exploit it and it loses all sense of modesty, humility, morality. God says our bodies are to be his temples, and that we should respect them. This is not respect, it defies respect. It turns beauty into sex, lust, exploitation, for personal gain. I'd rather see contestants judged on their character, not how much of their body they can reveal.
I'm no prude. If Miss Universe is going to keep going this way I'm not watching at all.
BTW what about the islamic entrants?
Oh the pics aren't bad...SI has been worse. It's just the direction the pageant is going that bothers me.

Agreed! And I don't have much use for jewelery either, especially piercings! HUGE turn off!
One thing I have found "interesting" - and I have no idea why - are those delicate "ankle bracelets" or chain thingies.
Poet's shirts as well, but of course generally not in public. Just my wife and me.

I don’t find many of the Miss USA contestants attractive anymore. Maybe I just like a “normal” looking girl. Trashy women don’t get more beautiful to me just because they put on a nice gown and a 5 gallon bucket of concealer and other assorted types of makeup.
