30,000 people? Thats exactly how many turned out at the bamster’s campaign rally in atlanta!
The stash is running low. Riots are soon to begin in Obamaville.
City officials knew this would happen. They just wanted to use this for publicity. Typical “Scream and run in circles” tactic.
Did it look like Haiti or some other Diversity Crowd-dominated nation?
Did they have riots like that in Hoovervilles that popped up during the Depression?
Imagine if the welfare checks were three weeks late. This is a preview of things to come.
It was worse than the cheese line at the Government Food Centre.
with so much property being foreclosed on, should be easy to find section 8.
Imagine if we get a financial calamity like hyperinflation or the collapse of the dollar. How will grocery stores operate (let alone get deliveries)? Will they still take food stamps?
Anyone want to be near a grocery store when they announce that they are only taking cash or (worse) precious metals?
Chaos unfolds as people wait to apply for housing subsidies Wednesday in Atlanta.
That was a Democrat’s dream: Making 30,000 blacks herd together to beg the government for housing vouchers.
I agree. I saw a poster on another site ask the following questions:
Why isn’t the form online and downloadable at the library at any time and why is there only one place in the whole metro area to turn it in?
I would like to add to that: why was there such a short window for picking up and submitting the form? Can’t these be completed as people visit social service agencies or as the need arises? They can be added to the waiting list if all spaces are filled or filed for the next round.
As nutty as some of the people acted, city officials created this atmosphere with the rules they attached to the money.
I think we’re seeing some terribly sad desperation here. Does anyone here really believe these same 30,000 folks would have need to show up for Section 8 housing applications under the Bush administration? No? Well, have entitlement programs been reduced under the Obama administration? No? Then why are these people showing up like this? Could it be that perhaps they’ve lost their jobs under the Obama administration’s destructive economic policies and because they’ve been living one paycheck away from disaster, and now have nothing? Probably yes. And, did all of these folks vote for Obama? Probably yes. Do they still support Obama? Probably yes, but probably less as each day goes by. Are they Democrats? Probably yes. Will what is happening to them change how they vote? We can only hope.
Just reinforcing Liberal principles with them... so when 2012 rolls around all it will take is "Vote Republican and no more free housing, welfare, etc.".
When I first saw the picture (and not the story) I thought it was Haiti.
The picture of the crowds reminds me of a similar picture of the people around the New Orleans Superdome during Hurricane Katrina.
