She's first on my list (I must worship her........:-) for sure and I hope she runs, I'm liking Christie a lot though, I just don't think he's set up to run like she is.

DeMint can be engaging, and could do well in a primary, but has very little executive experience.

“Prior to entering politics, DeMint worked in the field of market research. In 1983, he founded his own research firm, the DeMint Group. He was president of this corporation until 1998.”

Founded his own firm and ran it for sixteen years, is this what you call, “Very little executive experience”? If so name all the presidents who had more.

That's good to know, I like DeMint.

I don't believe he's had any "executive experience" in government.

Is that more clear?

Senators have rarely made good presidents (let alone become one). I'd be glad to support him if he runs and wins the nomination.

Sarah Palin actually has an advantage over Ronald Reagan -- the Tea Party movement. There was a clear conservative lurch to right in the 80s, but it was unorganized. Sarah Palin has an opportunity that has never before presented itself in American politics. She is not only the right person, in the right place at the right time. She also has the advantage of a ready made and organized army of volunteers ready to take up her cause -- so long as she stays true to their cause.

It's a two way street, but she is in the drivers seat.

That is an excellent analysis.

Liberals loath Palin for many reason. First and foremost is that the first woman president cannot no way no how repeat CANNOT be a pro-life woman. Personally I believe a top reason they hate her is because she is an authentic christian woman.

True, but I prefer real world over government. I agree about the Senate not being the best background but that is all we had to choose from in the last election, that part may be changing. Ideally I think a sitting governor who has been a CEO in private business might be the right person but that would be an extremely small group.

Hi,

I'd like to thank you all for the thoughtful conversation generated by 2ndDivisionvet's repost of my piece on Saracuda. One Palin appearance at a Georgia Tea Party event may have changed our state forever and for the better. Again, I thank you all for reading and welcome your emails and @replies via twitter. Semper Fi!
