The real question at hand is, should the government have the power to make those kinds of food choices for me and enforce them at the point of a gun, or should I have the right to make that kind of decision for myself?
I say it should be a matter of individual choice. Allow the government to protect you from yourself, and soon you will find that you have far more "protection" than you ever wanted.
Government is good at killing people not feeding them or providing them with any kind of health services.
Government should sick to its profession less it get them confused.
The Federal government can’t secure the borders but they have the time and resources to raid small farms over milk labeling issues?
I agree that this is where much of the impetus from government actions is coming from. The big agribusiness supply chain sees this movement towards local agriculture as a looming threat to their profits and way of growing food.
They want us eating the food that gives them the most profit and that often means antibiotic and steroid saturated factory made food. They have also fought country of origin labeling on their products which most consumers want. They want to keep us blind to what we’re eating, and where it comes from, and eliminate those who attempt to bypass the system.
SLB, You are 100% correct. Additionally raw milk had not had the natural vitamins stolen and replaced with synthetic vitamin A and D.
You could not pay my family to drink the white water sold in stores, not even the organic white water. Ours is $3 a gallon but you have to bring your own container, preferably glass.
