Doctors are reacting to Medicare and Medicaid HAVING PULLED OUT FIRST.
I’ve said it here time and time again. We’re a hair breadth’s away from the Feds dictating that doctors accept Medicare/Medicaid patients; no choice.
It’s coming. Mark my words.
Medicaid is in large part - heathcare for illegals.
These Dr’s sound like counterrevolutionary Kulaks.

Doctors are, for the most part, small business owners, if they can’t make money under the current rules they change their practice models. It is called survival
I don't doubt it. The official position of the goobermint is, "If you need a license from us, then your practice is a privilege--not a right-- and we don't care what degree you have." This means, the goobermint can force you to see medicare/ medicaid patients anytime they want--at a price of their choosing-- and if you refuse, there goes your license.
Licenses so far are issued by States, but that can be over-ridden by the fascist Usurper's whores in Congress introducing the necessary legislation, assuming it is not already in the obamacare bill, somewhere in the back 500 pages of fine print.
They may try to mandate that we see medicare and medicaid patients, but they can’t keep me from retiring early and walking away. Many of my colleagues have plans to do so if Obamacare is not repealed or defunded. An imperative to treat medicare and medicaid patients will just make it happen that much faster. This country is going to lose a tremendous amount of medical talent in the next few years, as many of us just walk away.
This is Texas, and I’m glad to see them at the forefront.
If their student loans are paid to date, I don’t care what they do. Unless you’re in desperate need (which most folks aren’t), doctors are little more than a transfer of wealth from the patient to the pharmaceutical company. Unless I’ve got bone sticking out or blood coming out of a hole that was there when I was born, I avoid ‘em like the plague.
What an amazing statement.
Is it their wealth or the fact that they are hardworking that irritates you the most?
Rather cynical vie of doctors I must say.
Heard the other day that the US healthcare system would be solvent IF the illegals were gone.
Hmmmm....I had my annual appointment with my doc last week....I asked him what he was going to do about the “Nat’lized Health Care”....he said....”Not going to worry about it”....does not seem they are going to make docs mandatory participants.” Now, My doc, Dr. Jonathan Wright is a MD and a ND, and a researcher/publisher, etc (look up Tahoma Clinic)....and on the leading edge of “healthy” medicine for the past 30 years. He was once raided by the FDA or some gov’t entity, and HATES the FDA and gov’t. He does NOT take Medicare/Medicaid or even bill insurance....and is the best doc I’ve ever had for “prevention”....if I had a broken bone....I’d just go to the local emergency room. That said....I sure hope he is right that they will not force them into the system. He’s usually right. Docs who have relied on Medicaid, Medicare are probably part of the problem.
