Thanks...not sure where you might be...feel anything?
Nevermind,..I missed your post.
I live about 40m from the epicenter. I was outside and felt the sidewalk moving under my feet and looked up to see a metal fense moving back and forth in a small wave pattern. Not a big one. My girls were excited because it was the first one they felt, even though they were born and raised in CA. Mostly they just sleep through them. Haha.
I am on a earthquake forum and we are discussing the fault.
It is either on the Coyote Creek or San Jacinto.
After you watch a movie like this, you always wonder whatever happened to great actors like Hans Conreid- and the Monster
I remember Conreid best as Uncle Tanoose(sp?) and the Monster in the......White House!
See #58...
Yep, I never warmed up to Uncle Tanoose, but I loved him in Rocky and Bullwinkle.
Things happen. Heheh. On a serious note. I hope no one was injured or worse from falling debris etc.. A falling vase, whatever off a shelf hitting someone on the head can obviously lead to serious circumstances. It continues to amaze me how far away some of these quakes can be felt. Obviously your house is a long way from the epi center of this one.
Doing the Victory Dance here!!! Yet another one I didn’t feel....
;)
Sounds like the Mexico Fault is a big problem.(?)
I missed the 89 quake by two weeks.
Still, what a mess everthing was. Even lost the Embarcadero Expressway.
It is an unusual amount of seismic activity for this region.
The Hopi Elders seem to think there will be a lot worse.
Here’s their future map
http://www.standeyo.com/index1.html
One thing I hadn’t realized before, I heard recently with a new perspective . . . purportedly a LOT of land is supposed to rise . . . New Zealand, Caribean, elsewhere . . . which is supposed to contribute a lot to the sea rise around the world.
Anyway—FWIW.
Lots of ‘future maps’ seem to see the Salton Sea area very much under water more or less up through the Inland Valley etc.
Along with the Gulf of Mexico reaching the Great Lake above Chicago. Lake Mich?
My gosh, where have you been??????
I can’t get to the future map. Any suggestions?
You're not missing anything. Deyo is a world-class kook.
