Pass this law and we all get to find out It doesn't matter if it passes or not. Ask Texas if their permit for the Corpus Christi refinery has been approved yet. No? EPA is sitting on it for another 45 day period (maximum they are allowed), then rejecting it with another technicality? The Senate already voted to allow cap and tax by EPA fiat, no new laws are needed.

I hope in this country we actually have an opposition party that is ready to do the same We do, all 40 republicans voted for stopping the EPA plus (IIRC) 6 democrats. But the measure failed and the EPA now does cap and tax, no new law needed.

Judd Gregg said he might be willing to look at a scaled back Cap and Tax. But even if they just go with an energy bill the House has a cap and tax provision in theirs. What happens in conference?
If you ask me gridlock is good, we don't need anymore democrat legislation this year.

Now? I wish I could firmly believe in the freedom I was raised believing in I wish we could have a least one Republican with a spine, to hold ranks on a filibuster, unfortunately we don't. We have had a plethora of Spineless Republican leaders in the Senate.

diamonds are just carbon, does Obama want to outlaw diamond rings?
“Sorry my love, Obama has outlawed diamonds so you have to settle for this government approved organic ordinary pebble in a compressed papper ring holder.”

Well, the medical industry seizure has its share of lawsuits pending, but the opposition leaders (gop) let so many others slide by without a whimper.
There are few reasons for optimism on the energy tax. Kerry will throw in an exemption or two and the whole shebang will be sacrificed by the gop, for the sake of...what?
