I can maybe see the Saudis looking the other way while the Israelis use their airspace if they think they have plausible deniability. That they would do something overt like this is Debka-style fantasy.

Huge airbase there but it is too close to a populated area and not very close to Iran. I doubt this base will be used to stage the attack. They need something far more isolated and located much closer to Iran.

The Saudi’s are terrified of a nuclear Iran, nuclear Israel has never bothered them. This has been sometime coming, obamas election assured that the Israelis have to do it themselves and even the Saudi’s know this. It will be an interesting strike, Isreal bombing and Saudi fighters up providing air defense.

I find it interesting that the Iranians would report it. It makes the regime appear more isolated in the Muslim world. The rulers of Araby are more interested in maintaining their cushy lives than annihilating Israel. Judenhass is boob bait for the masses, a distraction to ward off modernizing influences. They fear the Persians with good reason, mostly because their revolutionary fervor is roiling the waters the Islamic racket is floating on.

Not much meat in this article and no sources.

But...

It is an interesting idea. I can't imagine the Saudi’s going along with this even if they want Iran put down, because there is no way they could hide their assistance after the fact.
