“He wants those 65 and over to die and go away.”

This is Obama’s secret plan for “bending the cost curve.”

Since Congress expects all doctors/hospitals to work for -21% remimbursement while all other expenses have not decreased, I would also like Congressional and Federal Employee salaries to be cut 21% as well.

“Hey Dr. Cecil B. Wilson of the AMA, you stupid f*ck, it was YOUR organization that endorsed Obamacare which INCLUDED a reduction in Medicare payments to docs to make it look like it would reduce the deficit.”

Actually, AMA is learning the price of making a deal with the devil. Obama promised to permanently fix this problem (i.e., spare docs the 21% cut forever, not just 6 months) as a price for AMA not opposing Obamacare. Originally, the fix was embedded in the health reform plan, but because that added more than $200B to the cost of the bill, it violated Obama’s pledges to keep the plan’s cost under $1T and deficit-neutral.

So they stripped out the fix, but privately assured AMA it would get “taken care of” in separate legislation. Needless to say, Obamacare never could have passed over the strong opposition of AMA. So AMA remained silent in expectation of this “doc fix” pay-off after the health bill was passed. But of course, now having gotten what they want, the Dems will predictably NEVER try to permanently fix this problem (since that’s too expensive). Instead, they’ll play the same game they’ve now played for nearly a decade. Every year, they will count on AMA’s desperation to get a temporary fix enacted to extract a maximum level of campaign contributions, they’ll pass a 1-year fix and play the same game the next year. It’s basically “pay to play:” never forget that money is the mother’s milk of politics.

Not to mention getting rid of patriots, conservatives, Christians and Republicans. And, as an added benefit, lowering Social Security payouts thereby saving all that money for young liberals and having more for "crazy" checks for the disabled drug addicts and alcoholics.

“And, as an added benefit, lowering Social Security payouts”

No doubt. We all criticize Obama for ignoring the entitlements mess without realizing that in his mind, that problem has already been covertly solved by his health plan. Needless to say, it doesn’t pay to advertise this historic achievement, as it is just possible the voters might be a tad peeved to learn about this.

Even the short term instability with the reduced cash flow will create some long term effects. Restoring cuts will not resurrect failed medical clinics or rebuild what little trust and morale that remains among physicians.

And, this is only the beginning. What will happen after we have the exchanges with the inevitable below market rate/ below cost pricing?

Apres le deluge, on verra!

What the hell was ObamaCare all about if it can not/does not solve this simple problem?

Control

You won't lose your current insurance...proven lie.

Not a tax...proven lie, AG claiming it's a tax in court to keeping states from overriding mandate

No reimbursement rate cuts to Medicare...proven lie

No death panels...truth???

No illegals covered...truth???

The list goes on.

Most practices operate with a fixed 50% overhead of expenses

So to be fair, the CongressScum and and Obama Sub Humans would have to eat a 41% loss in income to equal the doctors 42% loss in take home pay.

I'm convinced that it is just a matter of time before legislation is passed requiring doctors to accept Medicare patients. This legislation will expose doctors to discrimination lawsuits, hefty fines, threats of loss of licensing, etc., etc. Mark my words.
