You’re a Metorologist? Awesome! Once I get past the College Algebra I’ll be on my way.Calculus looks like something that will short-curcuit my brain!
I never got past geometry in high school.
Trig is pretty useful.
I wouldn’t recommend trying calc the way I did it, but it CAN be done.
It’s difficult, but at the same time, it was easier than I expected.
A huge chunk of it is just being able to manipulate the everyday, ordinary kind of math- algebra basically.
If you want a leg up on calc, you can either try digging up some Saxon Math for the advanced math, pre calc kind, or go for the *_______ for Dummies* series that you can find in any bookstore. They have Calculus for Dummies which is pretty good.
Calc the second time through is much easier. You’ll do yourself a favor by familiarizing yourself with it before taking the class.
It helps to be good in physics. Meteorology is just applied physics, thermodynamics and fluid flow.
Just FYI.
I recognize the Algebra part and I can do those problems. There’s stuff in Calculus that I have never seen before!I love Math and science, especially astronomy. The way the universe works absolutely blows my mind.Did you have to take Chemistry?I really want to be a Meterologist,so I think I can get past the hard stuff with some drive and determination.
Thank heaven for the computers.
Political theater.
Can’t wait for “Path to Deepwater Horizon”
One year of chemistry and one year of physics.
They weren’t that bad.
It was a blast getting the degree.
Not all the courses demanded calc but some of them did.
