A joke, as heard today on the Laura Ingraham Radio Show:

Malia Obama: “Daddy, have you plugged the hole yet?”

President Obama: “No Sweetheart, we haven’t been able to shut up Rep. Sestak yet!”

They all know they committed crimes in this job thing ... this is only damage control. I don’t believe a word of it.

To pick Clinton as their point man on this is for the White House to say, “We’re laughing at you while we’re lying to you.”

They’ve brought out the Liar-in-Chief.

I’m thinking that if put under oath, Sestak will invoke the fifth. Since he has personal knowledge of the commission of a felony that he has failed to divulged, he’s in deep kemshi.

But I agree that he’d be well served to always go out as at least a two-plane and remain tactical at all times. ;-]

Since the earlier post there has been more news on this. Fox is discussing it currently on TV. Sestak has now stated he was offered a non-paid position. Kelly had the specific wording of the law on screen...Rahm Emmanuel has clearly committed a crime given what the WH is admitting and what Sestak is stating. there are 2 laws with different thresholds that are at issue...the higher one is bribery, which is harder to prove, but the lesser pretty clearly appears to have been violated.

I know some guy who knows a gal who has a brother who knows....

Geez, I guess their logic is get as many people involved in this to confuse the masses - I bet it works and NOTHING will be done about it.

The "justice department" has little to do with justice...so I don't expect anything to be done. But it does appear a crime has taken place given Sestak's statement after today's revelations that it was Rahm Emmanuel who asked Clinton to speak with Sestak about an appointment.

I think the fifty cent word for it is; “misprison of a felony”?

Sestak kept his story short and incomplete, once he realized he had displayed foot-in-mouth syndrome. And he has steadfastly remained vague and sparse in all accounts of the “offer” since then.

Except the first thing he said was that he'd had a conversation with a White House official -- Bill Clinton can in no way be characterized as such. He also never described it as he was told by his lawyer brother about the bribe, he specifically said it came from a WH official.

“Whoever solicits or receives … anything of value, in consideration of the promise of support or use of influence in obtaining for any person any appointive office or place under the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both.” — 18 USC Sec. 211 — Bribery, Graft and Conflicts of Interest: Acceptance or solicitation to obtain appointive public office”

Doesn’t say anything about it being a paid position.

Exactly — and the idea that any position in the WH has no value unless it is a paid position is foolish. It has value, regardless a salary may not be attached.

You misspelled "Just Us Department".
