Good one, onyx. :-)

I’m pretty sure he’d like to say that about now, it might make his demise less painful.

Durbin is posturing and playing with smoke and mirrors. He might even be trying to redirect criticism away from the White House.

I trust Traitor Durbin less than I trust the word of those stinky, yet reliable, creatures that live in my septic tank.

Perhaps he will just “walk it back”. LOL That’s another one that makes my brain hurt.

"The only thing I heard was Axelrod said that nothing inappropriate took place," Durbin said, referencing White House senior advisor David Axelrod.

Oh, yeah sure, Dick. And we all know how "appropriate" David Axelrod's behavior is.....

Press Release
Immediate Release

Senate Candidate Sestak says he misspoke when he said he was offered a job in the Obama administration in exchange for dropping out of the PA senate Primary. Mr Sestak says he meant to say he wished to serve in the Obama era and just got his words confused. His conversation about the senate primary had nothing to do with his dropping out of the race. He is sorry for any misunderstanding this may have caused.

Sestak’s press release was coordinated with press secretary Gibbs who said there are no felonies in Washington DC, ever.

:)

Since he’s a retired admiral, lying won’t go over very well at all.

The retired admiral will have to be put under oath.

Things are going to get dicey for the admiral, aren’t they?

Its obvious that they want Komrade Specter to be their candidate. Be looking for the Sestak sacrifice!

I Really agree with your insight “jaz”. I congrat Durbin on wanting to get to the bottom of it but would think his energy would be better spent on answering the question “Who is Obama Really”, and “Where is he from”? Never Happen !! Washington is as corrupt as Illinois politicians.

Dicey for someone... the admiral has to tell the truth.

They want that seat for Specter. And they've found a way to get it.

Specter they can control - Sestak is a loose cannon.

But PA Democrats don't want any part of Specter. They rejected him out of hand. If Obama pulls the rug out from under Specter, I just can't see PA Democrats jumping up and down with glee over it. I think their reaction is likely to be that they were robbed.

I don’t see this as Durbin doing anything to bring clarity on this.

True, but... with a scandal, the preferred options are:

1. Keep it from ever being a story.
2. If it does become a story, keep it from being a big story.
3. If it does become a big story, keep it from being a big story at a particularly bad time.

Usually option 3 means dragging out the time line, and keeping the story small for as long as possible. But if Durbin is afraid that the story can't be kept small until after the November elections, he might very well want it to get big in May, so that the Democrats can dismiss it as "old news" in November.

The admiral has "answered the question honestly" so many times, I see no way for him to ever recant this.

He’s only supplied a partial answer. He’s being honest, but also coy.

It seems to me the admiral will have to tell the “rest of the story” under oath, because he’s not been forthcoming on his own.

I’ve told you guys, Democrats are going to be hammered in December, and it will be Democrats that survive the purge that will be pushing for Fauxbama’s impeachment next year, as they try desperately to save their party from what this man and his minions are doing to it.

That would certainly open the door for a Hillary run in 2012. Obama is a one-termer and they know it.

Man if I were Bobo, Dick Turban is the last guy I'd want 'helping me'. Kinda like Mitchell in Watergate.

Fox needs to get Sestak back on in a friendly non-threatening way, maybe BO'Razz. Let Sestak pontificate his TP (talking points) for a couple of minutes and then start pinning him down to offers/people/dates.
