It sank in an area called The Mississippi Canyons...Real "Deep Blue" area.
20 years ago I longlined 25,000 pounds of Yellow Fin tuna in 5 days from those waters. World record Bluefin and Marlin used to be plentiful in that area. Swordfish too, though these days I hear you catch nothing but pups there.

Any idea if it’s because of over-harvesting or have the fish moved to follow patterns of the bait fish or is it because they lost so much mangrove-type shoreline?
