And they could probably arm them with photon torpedo warheads as well, and lets not forget the phaser cannon they can mount on their star-cruisers.My god, what if they build a death-star?

While the nuke is technically possible (especially after the disastrous Operation Merlin), I think the more realistic threat would be chemical or biological.

An atomic bomb will get a bigger effect than a chemical attack.

Of course it would. However, my point was more about what’s available to them now.

Israel can handle it. They are probably the only western nation that cares about self defense. Problem is, they can’t hold off the world indefinitely.

Except for their psychological impact, and (like all other weapons) their inhumanity, there is nothing particularly devastating about them.

Perhaps. But the Iranian and pan-Muslim strategy is based less on making an attack than on the constant threat of attack and diminishing US support demoralizing Israel and generating an irreversible decline. Already, emigration from Israel is at a high level, and demographic imbalances portend increasing pressure on Israel’s Jewish population. A series of peace deals could then unravel Israel without a war.

We have a saying in our house, “If we had ham, we could have ham and eggs, if we had eggs.” If and when Iran gets a nuclear weapon, it's not going to be a tactical model. It takes a while to reduce them design to one that 1) is soldier-proof and 2) is portable.

Sure, and that's kind of the point of terrorism. Hez knows it can't go toe to toe with Israel in a straight up fight. Don't know if you have military experience, but if you do....you know, as do I, how difficult it is to operate in MOPP gear.
As you stated, the psychological impact would be greatest on the civilian population. Jews being gassed again? Don't want to even think about the ramifications of that.

There’s a lot of truth in what you say, from a logical standpoint. Problem is.....that doesn’t currently apply to Ahmadinejad, who believes carnage and mayhem must occur to bring about the Madhi’s return.

You could probably speak with some Kurds who would disagree. Unfortunately, there’s a lot more you couldn’t ask.
