Tool and fools. You got it. Facts don’t matter.
On with the agenda! Blood sport. Target Sarah Palin.
It’s not enough that she’s the target of democrats and lame stream media.
I don’t think anybody is going to announce or indicate their intentions before the November election. I mean, we already know Romney is running (or wants to) and Pawlenty, but they’re about it.
If that's your position, maybe you should reconsider joining the Paul bots with their attempted take down of Sarah. None of us try to take down Hunter, you might want to be a little less adamant in trying to take down your next in line.
I doubt Sarah will declare if she's going to run before the 2010 elections, but then we should be concentrating on those now as well. Stopping the insanocrat agenda is paramount right now.
I have my ideas. I will tell you sometime, but not tonight.
I should try to sleep at a decent hour (for a change). Ya think? LOL.
He did. noncommital, as they all are right now.
Hunter: Thats true, except she was the candidate. In terms of building a campaign from basically nothing, Obama did an excellent job of that.
PA: Yes, but still, there was a lot of conservatives that sat on their hands when it got down to Huckabee and McCain. That were not thrilled with either. It really takes a what I believe to be a Reaganite, to reunite the party. Thats where we are hoping that you havent completely retired from politics. Are you considering, or is it possible, you may get back into politics?
Hunter: Politics, or running for office, it is a process of identifying an opportunity and responding to it. And as you know, politics is largely timing. And if the right opportunity presented itself, Im not foreclosed at all to running again.
PA: This is one of the reasons that Ive coaxed myself into trying to interview you. If indeed, you dont want to slam the door shut and say ah, Im done with it, Ill retire and just throw my 2 cents in from the sidelines occasionally, if you indeed you think it is possible to run in the future, whether for the Senate, or the presidency again, or even governor, whatever the case may be. The thing that Ronald Reagan did after his loss in 1976, though he did this even before challenging Ford, but especially in those years after that primary, is that he gave speeches, he wrote papers, he kept himself in the public eye, and so by the time
Hunter: He had a radio show.
PA: Well yeah, yes, so that helped.
Hunter: That did more than the papers or speeches. You know, they asked him if he wanted to do a TV show, and he said no, Id rather do radio. He said people will get tired of me if they see me on TV, I wanna do radio. (laughs)
PA: That was a good answer. (laughs)
Hunter: yeah (lauging)
PA: So anyway, thats why I was very interested when you said you were writing a book, or that you were busy writing some policy papers on China and foreign policy. Because I think we are in for a real bad stretch here, coming down the pike. The Obama administration has started off very poorly, and I dont see it well Im hoping that it gets better- but I dont see it so. I mean Hugo Chavez is making noise, the Iranians are making lots more noise. Im sure you see the same things I do. Obamas team does not instill a lot of confidence in me
Hunter: I dont think Obamas team instills a lot of confidence in Obamas team. (laughs)
Hunter: But listen, Ive got to get ready for this thing (Hannity show), so you hang in there. And no, I have not foreclosed anything. And Im going to continue to keep a little bit in the public eye.
PA: Well, and that is where we could help you. We can keep you .everything you write and even this interview is going to go out and be distributed. We want to help you. There is a large group of us that are net savvy, that have well read blogs, better than some of the guys that were helping you before, with divided loyalties. We are behind you 100%. And well help keep you in that public eye as much as possible.
Hunter: Well listen, I think that talking about these issues and discussing them is a little bit of a public value, so Im going to do that anyway.
PA: Absolutely.
Hunter: Whether I run or not, I think its of value to the old national discussion.
(snip)
PA: Yeah, he sounds sensible for 75, 80% of the time. Then he goes with Dennis Kucinich and tries to get the Congress to back out of Afghanistan and Pakistan and to quit killing the Taliban. Anyway, I wont confuse you with a libertarian, I never would. I consider you a Reaganite, and one of the few. You know who else is pretty good, is Mike Pence
Hunter: Mikes a good guy. A solid guy.
PA: So I think a Hunter/Pence ticket is the winning ticket in 2012.
Hunter: There you go, now were talking.

Hope to join you sometime tomorrow.
Well, I hope he runs, if for nothing else, to keep the others in line.
Frankly, I don’t have much hope for him if he does, but stranger things and miracles have happened before.
I didn’t say it was going to be her. I just said if she is the closest to my thinking it will be. If Thune or DeMint or Steve king or Inhofe runs, I’ll likely go that way. But regardless, I won’t pretend that something is what it isn’t no matter who I support. I can take a candidate with warts, as long as they aren’t terminal warts.
“You betcha!”
Considering how far Mitt and Huck and Fred and even Rudy dashed to the “no amnesty” position last time, it couldn’t hurt.
Like I said many times before. If we are arguing amongst ourselves about contenders Palin, DeMint, Hunter and Pence instead of dreading McCain, Rudy, and Mitt, I’ll be in hog heaven.
Two guys I won’t support
So you place less importance on newer 2009 interviews when Sarah was nolonger McCain's VP running mate, than you do on 2008 interviews.
I don't.
Dec. 2009...
Sarah Palin:No, Im not for amnesty.
You really are dense. McCain says he’s not FOR AMNESTY. EVERYONE DOES. GET IT??
Seems to me if she calls illegal aliens "illegal" and if she thinks those who break the rules should get out, then she also thinks that illegal aliens, who of course have broken the rules to get here, should get out.
Or at least it's certainly worth a further clarification.
Listen further. That interview is a mess. Just like everytime she opens her mouth on the subject.
And yes, it IS worth further clarification. Her interview with Greta helped clarify it.
You forgot George Washington...
Apparently not for idiots like you who took her comment out of context.
Out of context my ass. She may have misspoke, but it certainly matches her 2008 rhetoric.
