The ironic thing is formerly socialist countries have first hand experience with it and are running away from it. Would you believe Russia now has 77 Billionaires and a 13% FLAT income tax? China also has a growing number of rich entrepreneurs. The city of Shenzhen puts to shame any modern city in America.

Ummmm, no. The "ironic thing" is that you just included the PRC in your definition of "formerly socialist countries".
Last I heard, it is still a socialist/communist state.

You like the current status quo, then, right scuttle?

No, but I do like the Tea Party rebellion, none of which would have come about if not for Obama's coronation.

This time around, Americans might actually have a chance of turning the U.S. around instead of being slowly boiled to death by progressive RINOs like McPain and his lap dog Grahamnesty!

No, I don’t miss Jorge. I miss Ronald Reagan. How could anyone miss a POTUS that teamed up with the swimmer and tried to ram amnesty down our throats? If hadn’t done this, we wouldn’t be in the mess we are now. Bush is responsible for getting us Chauncey Gardner.

Compared to Obunghole I even miss Jimmuh Carter. At least Carter wasn't actively trying to destroy America.

Ok
I'm corrected

A Friend of mine showed me the same picture
That they attributed to Lake City, Tenn.
a small city near Knoxville

I suspect my friend “mis-attributed” the picture

I don’t think the poll is in context of thinking a 3rd Bush term.

It is mainly about Obama being so bad, even lot of Obama voters now have regrets.

Amnesty is a complicated issue.
Just like Prohibition was in the 1920’s. It just made Al Capone very rich and never stopped availability of alcohol.

The current laws against illegal immigration have not stopped it. Worse part is no one knows where the millions of illegals are, where they work, where they live. And more illegals are coming by the millions. From all over, not just Mexico. In my city there are more illegal Russians than Mexicans it seems. They come on visitor visa and never return.

So we need something different. Something that will give an incentive for the illegals to register with a name and address and may be employer name. If we just deport them they won’t register and the problem continues. As long as the illegals work cheap, no way in hell you or I can stop from businesses hiring them.

The only sure way I know to stop them is impose severe penalties on employers. But that will never pass congress. The liberals won’t vote for it and the business lobby will work against it.

So back to stark reality, the only solution left is work permits coupled with severe penal;ty for working without a permit. At least we will know who is here and where they are.

Just my 2C worth.

Chauncy believed there would be growth in the spring.

Obama is more like Damien, The Omen, final chapter.

The only politician I miss is Reagan, and even he had room for improvement.

I wish W a long, healthy, happy retirement. Just keep him away from television cameras.

At least Carter wasn't actively trying to destroy America.

He's still trying to. We can thank him for screwing the Shah of Iran and the crap they hand us now. We can also thank him for handing N Korea a reactor. Lord knows what he's doing with Saudi oil money, but he's anti Semetic.

Officially yes, but the government policies have changed drastically. Whereas under Mao-Tse-Tung one was not allowed to own property or big bank account, now China has ever increasing cadre of millionaire entrepreneurs. In fact o0ne of my good golfing buddies moved permanently to China and runs his business there. He is in Shenzhen city and describes it as new, modern, and humming with commerce.

I miss some aspects of President Reagan such as the huge tax cuts and inflation control. I do not miss his tripling of federal budgets.

From purely charisma point of view, I liked JFK the best so far in my 50 years in USA. He had the looks, the wit and charm.

Undermine vs. destroy might be a distinction without a difference but I still think Obunghole is MUCH worse than Carter. Obunghole WANTS to destroy America while Carter's ineptness, naive foreign policy, and irrational hatred for G.W. Bush have unintentionally allowed our enemies to advance against us. (How's that for a run on sentence?)

Obunghole is the first POTUS in my lifetime that I believe sincerely wants what is not good for America. Others have acted against us but not purposefully.
