Why isn’t cheese curling an Olympic event? .. and who wouldn’t love to see kegling in shallow and deep snow uphill without a pack mule, talk about a cardiac and kidney intensive sport.
why- you think the lunatic left at NBC won’t try and stick in the global warming blame game every/any chance they get???
Hi DollyCali and Lainie.
Did you want to be added to the Canada ping list? (I’m pinging The Olympic threads My Favorite Headache is posting only because the Olympics are here this winter.)
You forgot hookers and hockey players. ;-)
yes, I would love to be on the Canada ping list. I love Ontario! ... sure I would love other areas but that is the only province I have been to
It's an ol' Marine drill. Just finishing the keg is a real thrill all by its lone self. ya have to pace yurself tho.
GE makes more money off Global Warming than anyone, even
Al Gore. :-}
I stumbled back here in time for the Normal ski jumping ..
Go Czechs!
You know, in a sense it does and the majority of our athletes, win or lose, deserve our respect. But there have been a number of past alpine olympians who were ultimately not worthy of the support our country and people such as me gave them.
Current olympian Bode Miller being one. The guy had all the talent in the world but blew it on fame, fortune and partying......He's never lived up to his potential. He's trying to make a comeback now as a family dad because he now knows that with a win, the bucks will start flowing in........In my opinion, there will be no medals for Miller.
Another past olympian, Bill Johnson, had his brief day in the sun and blew it all on self indulgence. His history post olympic fame is nothing but tragedy.
I hate to say this but our male alpine skiers DO NOT even come close to the dedication to the sport as our females do..........Over the past number of years it has always been our women who have scored consistently better then the men on the World Cup circuit.......
I was watching Marines winter training not too long ago on free Military channel.. keeping the beer fluid is the toughest part. just kidding. It reminded me of my yout’. ;-)

Wow, thanks for honoring my critique by “inviting” me to another thread! Cool!
BTW, from what are those cheesy “Superman” pix?
Men’s downhill postponed today because of “slushy” conditions.
So we have had one person killed, the olympic torch lighting went wrong and now not enough snow? NOT A GOOD OMEN.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Their loss is curling’s gain :) !!!!!!
From the 1979 movie Superman. The Vancouver cauldron looks like that movie set to me.
No, those pix are NOT from my beloved movie.
I don’t doubt the “Fortress” is a tourist trap somewhere in the southwest...
Oh, no, the one on the right is from the Superman ride at Magic Mountain (Six Flags). I thought the one on the left was, though.
I guess no one’s here tonight, without all the show business like last night.
