The democrats believe that any money that you are able to keep, after paying the mandated taxes, and also that which is beyond what is absolutely necessary just for you to survive on and nothing more, is a complete waste of extra government tax revenues.

Stein said it would have to be below $250K. Krugman immediately agreed, saying there wasn’t enough money above $250K to do it. Stein appeared to be flabbergasted that Krugman agreed so readily.
