JD has been "publicaly criticized for poor judgment" in relation to Abramoff, too. What you're basically saying is that if two guys do something unwise but legal and are smeared by Dems, we should treat one as a criminal and the other as a hero of conservatism.
You maintain a double standard. Double standards are dishonorable. If you think Keating matters and Abramoff doesn't, you're not only pushing a double standard, you're to the left of Bob Bennett. Now that's conservative!

Yes, he is and he should. But the lesson that people learned about who the Rat party really is had to be learned and they would not have learned it if McLame has become president. Instead we would have a RINO president who would have gleefully pushed socialism lite and the people would have remained asleep and ignorant. Allowing an evil to happen in order for good to come out of it is evil itself.
To risk innocent American's lives and get some killed in the process so that Americans at large can understand what this administration stands for is wrong headed. And you better believe this is what is happening right now because we knew that Obami was very dangerous because of his insane policies when it comes to "fighting" terrorism. Americans have already died and we are all at risk everyday because of this fool. It was not worth it to teach everyone a lesson.

I think you're barking up the wrong tree. John announced before the '08 election that he wasn't running. He was talked into staying by constituents but mostly by House Republicans who wanted him to retain his leadership position. The possibility of McCain's Senate seat opening up if McCain won may have figured in the deal.
I don't think that he will get in the middle of a pissing match between JD and McCain. My guess is that he will endorse McCain.

Yeah, until you realize even that was a fraud. He wanted Lieberman on the ticket until it was explained to him all hell would break loose if he did that. How many FReepers would’ve voted for a RINO/Socialist ticket ? I wouldn’t have. He never fully supported her candidacy, and after it was over, he and his people have continuously badmouthed her.

LOL Who called anyone a criminal or a hero? You're the one obfuscating things and making stuff up now. Not me. There is no double standard. That is just more bull from you.
One more time. Using the Abramoff scandal to blast JD, as this article does, without considering McCain's involvement in the Keating 5, is what is called, a red herring.
The real issue here is, you defending and supporting McCain. That is dishonorable, not to mention, dumb.

Keating 5 is worth talking about not just as corruption or scandal, but as a harbinger of things to come with McCain and conservative America.
My reading of Keating 5 makes McCain look the dupe and the fool of crooked Democrats, rather than outright corrupt himself. He found the experience humiliating, and spent the rest of his life taking it out on Republicans!! He would never go after the very Democrats who got him in that position, like John Glenn who was later rewarded for selling us out to the Chicoms by a ride in space and the forgiveness of his campaign debt! Oh, I followed the story of Keating 5 for years after it happened.
Frankly, it pointed out not moral failings but a lack of basic intelligence and an intemperate disposition. How about his public rages? He's a nut, and he's stupid, and Keating 5 is a great example.

If I was Hayworth, I’d file on Ronald Reagan’s birthday, which is also the day Sarah will speak at the Tea Party Convention.

Hayworth is fine, and much better than McCain. He’s not perfect, to be sure, but he’s a LOT more conservative than McCain, without having the honesty problems that Simcox has.

J.D. Hayworth as a US Congressman from Arizona had a lifetime rating of 97.56% from the American Conservative Union after 12 years of service. McCain has a 82% rating after 27 years of service.Do not bother mr. stormyweather with facts.
The response will be that JD knew someone that went to jail and voted with that liberal Bush.
I voted for mcpain in 08 only because of Sarah, if she weren't on the ballot, I'd have done a write in.
Mcpain needs to spend more time with his family, maybe he can straighten out that nitwit daughter of his.

Simcox is a self promoting nut job. JD is only slightly better, however, I would prefer either over McCain.

I struck a nerve. Good!
You brought up the word dishonorable and threw it around first. Now your ridiculing its use against you, even though it fits you perfect. LOL

JD has been "publicaly criticized for poor judgment" in relation to Abramoff, too. IIRC, Hayworth was more or less cleared of the accusations re: Abramoff, while McCain was a clear partner in the Keating 5 scandal.

Dude. You way overestimate your value as an irritant. And if you're using the phrase "struck a nerve" and "ridiculing" to describe the same thing, then there's only one thing that can be said. To say it, I'd like to welcome special guest Inigo Montoya. Inigo?
"These words you use...I do not think they mean what you think they mean."
Thank you, Inigo. nice seeing you. Say "hi" to the wife for me.
