There are still big numbers of undecidedes and regardless Hughes is going to make an independent run. The interest in the illinois primary is very weak as is Kirk’s support. Very few strongly support him. If the Tea Party’s had any real power they’d be able to stop this liberal monstrosity from winning the primary. Seems to me we still have the same old problem in our ranks. Conservatives only willing to fight when the fight is easy. If we’d given up when it looked like a Brown win was an impossible dream then Coakley would’ve been Senator. I see an aweful lot of people willing to rag on John McCain while this far left Republican Kirk could very well win Obama’s old seat and no one seems to care. If Scott Brown can run on a fairly conservative platform in MA and win then why does anyone think this race is acceptable to just let happen? If Kirk wins then we lose big. He is further left than any Republican Senator currently seated. Is that the message of the Tea Parties?
