The Amish, as well as some other religious sects, are covered by a "religious conscience" exemption, which allows people with religious objections to insurance to opt out of the mandate. It is in both the House and Senate versions of the bill, making its appearance in the final version routine unless there are last-minute objections.

I predict a lot of people will voice such a religious objection-- we may even need to form a new "church" opposed to all un_Contitutional government mandates and intrusions into our lives. THe Church of the Founders?

I am proud to say, I donated. I use the money I don’t spend on the ‘stars’ anymore. I don’t buy their propaganda movies or music. No, I didn’t stop so I could save that money. I did it to donate to candidates of MY choice, in all states. We will flip the house because we do own the dome.
