Don’t forget, Halperin is a Soros tool.

His father, Morton, is the Director of George Soros’ Open Society Policy Center.

I would never read this book, but I have the suspicion that it was hastily put together. If all these allegations were true, wouldn’t it have been a better idea to publish it last year, to drive a stake into Palin’s political aspirations? This smells of fear and desperation.

Well, see, the problem with that is that the primary source was one of the main guys running the train. And holds a large part of the responsibility for putting her up in the engine alongside Senator McCain. So either he ought to be run out of the business for leaking lies about her, or he ought to be run out of the business for helping put a complete idiot amateur on a presidential ticket.

Steve Schmidt is a reverse barometer for conservatism.

Sarah is pointing to the reason the Republicans lost the last election. Didn’t he graduate last in his class at Annapolis?

Pal of mine in the PR industry told me this story from Ohio. Read it and make up your own mind.

Basically, he was called in to assist with a focus group project that some Beltway Bandit PR company was conducting for the McCain campaign. According to him, the McCain bunch totally misunderstood the part of Ohio they were in, calling them epithets such as “hillbillies” and “rednecks.” Now mind you, these are the types that mine coal, and want the 2d Amendment upheld.

Anyway, he told me the McCain bunch proceeded to insult practically everyone in the focus group, and blew out of town, convinced Ohio was lost.

Sarah Palin was this bunch’s type of candidate, IMO...

Your post only confirms what I and many others knew all along. Obama didn’t run an effective campaign, McCain ran an incompetent one.

Just thought “fair” treatment should be give Mr. Schmidt.
This is part of his Wikipedia page: “Schmidt grew up in North Plainfield, New Jersey, and was an Eagle Scout, a tight end on the high school football team,[3] a two-year member of the National Honor Society, and senior class vice president. In 1988, he was one of two graduating seniors voted “most likely to succeed” by his classmates at North Plainfield High School.[4] He first handed out campaign materials for Democrat Bill Bradley’s 1978 Senate campaign.[5]

Schmidt attended the University of Delaware from 1988 through the spring of 1993, majoring in political science.[6] He left three credits short of graduating because he did not pass a math course; Schmidt has said that he has been diagnosed with a learning disability that makes higher math difficult for him.[3] He joined the Delta Tau Delta fraternity,[4] was a member of the campus Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) program, and did field work for Republican candidates in Delaware, sometimes wearing campaign buttons to class.[6]”

He may be a moron, but he sure is a turncoat. Give me Sarah Palin and others of her ilk anytime.

My boss is an over educated, homosexual, committed liberal. As soon as Palin was announced, before he knew anything about her, before I knew anything about her, he was on the “stupid Palin” train. This is an organized talking point put out by the left. It came out immediately and they have stayed with it. It’s no surprise that the liberals in the GOP adopted it as well. Regardless of party, they are all liberals in search of power.

Steve Schmidt is just one of the many reasons why the 2008 Presidential Campaign of Arizona Senator John McCain failed. It had nothing to do with Alaska Governor Palin and we all know that.

Steve Schmidt is in denial about his lackluster role in this endeavor! He has proved that he is the last person you want in your corner, period. Any Political Campaign which hires the likes of him will never succeed.

In that fact we can all derive a little comfort.

"Palin couldn't explain why North Korea and South Korea were separate nations. She didn't know what the Fed [the Federal Reserve] did...."

I bet Obama could not have answered those either and the fact is that the media NEVER asks HIM quiz questions. They were always out to get Palin AND to aid and abet Obama.

Obama said that he had visited "57 states,"

I’ve seen lists posted on this forum of the vast number of stupid statements by Obambi. e.g. 57 states he’d visited, the Austrian language, his birth after the Selma marches, etc. Does anyone have the list?

In classic Romney style, it seems that Romney has put the negative stuff from his book out with him, as the string puller, twice removed: Aide Schmidt dumping on Palin...

In classic FR style, Romney is trotted out to be pilloried for something with zero evidence against him. Schmidt worked for McCain not only in the general election, but in the primaries against Romney. What evidence do you have linking Schmidt to Romney? None. I thought so.

If Romney is sooooo terrible, shouldn't he be taking actual harmful actions and making damning statements for you to castigate? That is how it works with RINO's McCain, Lindsey Graham and Susan Collins. You don't have to make anything up, or go back to the archives, they continually provide material that proves they are recidivous RINO's. But with Romney, you have to invent stuff.
