I would stay home rather than vote for Romney, and I betcha I’m not the only one.
Always better to be prepared than to let the 'Rats pass their health care monstrosity by means of their dirty tricks.
I have a 20 Yr. experience with Massachusetts, and everything you say is the truth. There are a lot of registered Democrats, but some of those Democrats will vote for a Republican.. if it feels right to them.
I was just thinking of that angle myself, and making notes on all this so I could post it to my Tea Party Site:
obviously, the narrower the margin of a Brown victory in an
‘official’ vote count (”As Seen on TV”)the better for the Dems: their lawyers could raise all the usual complaints and suspicions of vote fraud, malfunctioning machines, etc.
and start challenging the votes and demand recounts, and play off rumors of improprieties in various selected voting venues. THEY would have to get in with these charges before the Brown campaign could, in order to pre-empt the probably more legitimate challenges Brown’s campaign could make on a close vote. The DEms are simply FAR FAR BETTER and more seasoned at these bogus charges and challenges; Republicans might just be willing to forego that fight.
we’re all used to from past elections. An apparently LARGE Brown victory would TRULY drive them up the wall, and require that their tactics get sleazier and more aggressive:
then you’d see the foot-dragging , the certification process hanging up on the military and absentee ballots, and they could stall ‘for the sake of’ those votes , EVEN IF they know that ALL of them going to Dems would not swing the margin of victory to Coakley.
The stalling tactic on behalf of the absentee ballots could be used as a cynical strategy to put a good and responsible face on the process, while they contrived other ways to negate or overlook Scott Brown’s 41st vote: that’s where reconciliation could come in. To do ANY of this though, IF BROWN DOES INDEED WIN SIGNIFICANTLY, (even if they’re ‘within the law’) would be looked on SO negatively by tens of millions of the AMerican people, that they’d NEVER get away with it; it might indeed create riots. THIS is what might indeed bring about the REAL and FINAL TIPPING POINT THAT WOULD PUSH US OVER THE EDGE. And foolish me, I until very recently thought the tipping point might be something as foolish as not allowing any further HealthCare debate to appear on C-SPan.
