There was this story I heard where a man would got to the police station every day and confess to a crime that he didn't commit. After a year of doing this, he murders his wife and confesses to the crime and the police don't believe him.

The point of the story is that if we keeping here much ado about nothings every day, when the real **** hits the fan we will be caught off guard and not take any warnings seriously.
