Folks, I naturally think that all politicians talk to much - and don't listen enough.
But having said that, the Senate is one of the few places where a person can blat on and on and has the right to do so.
Extending time to speak is a matter of courtesy extended to both parties by both parties.
I think Weird All Franken was more than a little of out line here.
Comments or opinions - anyone?

I sincerely think there’s something off about Franken. A fellow Freeper once assured me that, knowing him in real life, he’s actually quite a nice person. Ben Stein also adores the guy. But I frankly don’t see it. He strikes me as a horse’s ass.
Plus, he seems to have recently acquired James Traficant’s hairpiece. Really, now. What the hell.

They just showed the clip on FoxNews. McCain was on after that exchange, and said in 20 years, he's never seen someone refused. Asked what has happened to this body (Senate)?
It must be those rude GOP guys...

Did I miss something here?
Why is Al Franken, a Junior (Freshman—at that) Senator presiding over the Senate?
To: MplsSteve
Having Franken around is a quick way to lower the level of civility.

My opinion? What Joe Lieberman DIDN’T say after “OK” is what says it all. I took it as “OK, but the first chance I get to screw you publicly I’m gonna do it, and it won’t be the last.”

This may be historic - first time a “Senator” whose winning vote margin was found in the trunk of a car after the election was over has presided over the Senate. Please correct me if I’m wrong about this.

How’s that for Minnesota nice.

The Senate needs to get back to its historical character.

When has Al Franken ever been courteous? He so far is a cheat, liar and thug. In other words no class; especially when you saw his wife have to try to calm him.

A very stupid move from a Senator of a Party who is trying to capture his vote on health care.

Franken. You mean they let him be in charge. I didn’t think he was ready to have the training wheels off yet?

Franken was presiding over the Senate Thursday afternoon Finally, a horse's ass presides over the senate. Caligula would be proud. As a citizen, I know I am.
Poor John McCain, he rose and angrily denounced the action. Lamenting what is going on. This is what the Dims are, John. They HATE America. They played you for a fool and you went right along with it!
