I remember seeing an interview where he candidly spoke of the whole "Ecomagination" PR campaign, and said basically it was hype, but it worked, and that appearing "green friendly" was NOT about saving the planet, but MAKING MONEY OFF THE HYPE.
I wish I remember where I saw that clip so I could post a link and validate my claim... it was probably from some time before or during the time I worked for GE... during/before 2007.

GE is the next buggy-whip maker with the idiot Immelt in charge. He’s put all his chips into the fraudulent global warming pot and will lose. I’m betting short on GE stock.
Soon, GE will be picked apart like a corpse in bankruptcy court.
And, no, king obuma can’t save GE. King obuma will have a tough time saving himself and his coterie of idiot fascists.

I never argue about the fraudulent new energy economy on the basis of jobs created. It is easy to create jobs. We have had societies with almost no unemployment (we pretend to work and they pretend to pay us). The issue is the cost of the jobs created. The fraudulent new energy economy will create thousands (millions?) of jobs, many in regulating every aspect of economic production. The cost of these jobs will be catastrophic, causing work to relocate, prices to increase, lower economic production, higher taxes, and a much lower standard of living. The jobs created will be highly visible, creating a new powerful special interest group. The resulting economic carnage will be difficult to attribute to specific policies but it will be very real.
I can't disagree with anything you have said and that's why I reposted it. The only other point I'd make is that for every job the government creates, it destroys 2 or more. This is because of the inefficiency of what they do and the poor use of limited capital.

GE is behind the LIGHTBULBS that we HAVE to buy! If you Break one, you MUST call a HAZMAT # to come and clean it up!! IT IS INSANITY!!!
I sure hope that at least they preserve the incandescent bulbs for our refrigerators and ovens. These are only 25 or 40 Watt bulbs and they are only on when the respective doors are open. The energy use is trivial. However I wouldn't put anything past these idiots in the so called green movement.

This man should not be allowed to steer anything. Conflict of interest a little. Ya think?
This is disgraceful and a stop needs to be put on it.
