Obama backed himself into the corner. Afghanistan was the real war, right Barack? I guess he thought everything would just settle down as soon as he was in office. Now he finds out he’s actually going to have to back up what he said. And his lefty supporters can’t believe he’s somewhat keeping his word. What a tangled web we weave.

they didn’t beat Hillary in the primaries. The black vote beat Hillary. There is no doubt that she would have beaten any non black democrat. And she’d be President now. I’m no fan of the woman but I’d take her every day including Tuesday over Obama. #1 reason is I don’t think the terrorist trials would be in NYC with her. #2 this decision would not have waited this time.
The main reason I didn’t stay home like a 2 year old on election day and voted for McCain was I support our troops and knew the big difference is the way this would be handled.
Only a moron thinks under either McCain or even Hillary we’d have the trials in NYC or this long on dithering over the Afghan troops decision.
Must be speaking of the hypocritical Hollywood and entertainment Libs that now find themselves in dire need of Americans to watch their movies, programs, fill their concert halls and purchase their music and merchandise that they are peddling in Obama’s floundering economy.

Obama may not care if he loses congress. That is what saved Clinton in 1996, losing congress BIG in 1994. But if he could get something big before that happens he could use it to win in 2012, like Bush did prescription drugs and No Child. But Obama is in a corner he has to raise taxes to do something big unlike Bush.
Imagine President McCain about this time. After vetoing a 1.5T Pelosi stimulus bill paid for by taxes on the rich, President McCain signs a 1T stimulus deficit bill and gives a speech about it creating jobs while holding down the deficit. As the deficit and unemployment rise, democrats are on every show talking about the suffering, how McCain doesn't care, how McCain vetoed the jobs bill for America's Main Street has put us in another depression, all to save the rich some taxes , money they don't even need. All because Republicans love the rich and hate you.

I somewhat disagree and agree with you. Reid is in a lose-lose situation. I aways wondered why dems didnt put a liberal Schumer in charge of Senate, given a safe seat. So you may be right on Reid. He will lose no matter what happens.
Pelosi does not think she is on a losing strategy. She thinks she is taking the best approach for a democrat majority. She is in a not so great situation too, but she is very liberal but somewhat pragmatic as we have seen on abortion(but not too bright) .
Obama has had to change from candidate to leader fast. That is like jumping from pre-teen to fully responsible adult for big family. He is hostage to the congress on many things, and must sell any piece of trash they send him, just like GWB did 2001-2006. His only grace is a loving MSM but even they cant ignore big failures
In summary, not so much fun to go from rock thrower to owners of the windows is it? Now think of PRESIDENT McCain again trying to patch the windows while giving rocks to the throwers.

This is why I got all my republicans friends mad last year when I told them :
1) Obama will beat McCain,
2) McCain presidency would just make the last three year nightmare worse, so dont get too upset at #1
3) The voters will turn on an Obama presidency with Dem congressional control in less than a year, just like 1993
4) It’s our job to make his life as difficult as possible, meaning winning political strategies
5) Out of power can be the most enjoyable time politically, we get to throw the rocks now after over a decade. We might as well have some enjoyment, being screwed either way.

Here I completely disagree (was my point last reply.) They protect Obama but in the case of Pelosi they cant resist. Many of these quotes were baited out of her by liberal MSM. They smell blood, and Pelosi is too rich a target, with no real republican targets (out of power.) The media loves to get her talking, she ran to China to avoid them
You are thinking 2007-2008 where she got away with everything, but republicans loss ended that.
