My husband and I are deep into BSG right now, and this was the most recent episode we watched. When the hybrid said, “Jump!” as soon as they plugged her in, all I could think was, “Oh Crap!! Here we go!”
We’ve been renting it from Netflix, and we get the next disc today. We can’t wait! The tension created on that show is phenomenal. I know I’ll be sad once we’ve seen the whole series and it’s over.
Pinging myself since I’m posting on husband’s netbook. Oops.

BSG has a knack for building the tension then leaving you hanging. The moment that struck me like that the most was during the Occupation of New Caprica episodes when the Colonials were lined up beside a gravel pit to be executed. Calley makes a run for it and as she runs through the bushes, the screen fades to black over the sounds of machinegun fire and the credits appear on the screen. I had lost all track of time and was on the edge of my seat holding my breath to see if she would get away and the episode ended. AAAAAAAAAAARGH!
Meticulous is the best way I can describe BSG. Everything is so first rate. The cinematography, the dialouge. Even the music is woven together so intricately. Best TV show I have ever seen.
