The report says that not all of the glaciers are receding at alarming rates and that a few are even advancing.

Ding ding ding... We have a winner. We're talking about the natural world here. There is no reasonable expectation of a steady state. GW zealots cherry-pick their data to support their agenda. They try to make a melt-off sound unprecedented and undesirable. In the real world, it is constant change.

They basically told Obama to go F himself.

Actually India and China are more than willing to go along with the globull warming scam they just want the Western world to give them lots of money and not bother them about their emissions.

There is no net difference if the glacial melting stops or the glaciers disappear; no water. If the Glaciers are melting faster there will be MORE water.

I question what percentage of India’s river water comes from glacial melt. I would agree that most of the water comes from the Monsoons.

Rivers that originate in the Himalayas (rivers in north India) get their water from glacial melt. Hence they are perennial rivers. The rivers in the southern part of the country are not perennial rivers and become dry when the monsoons are over (not completely dry because there are dams and water flow is regulated). However, the glaciers are growing according to the Indian ENVIRONMENT Minister. I think they have figured out Al Gore's hoax.
