"This [The Afghanistan campaign] is not a war of choice,” Barack Obama told the Veterans of Foreign Wars on Aug. 17. “This is a war of necessity."

“Those who attacked America on 9/11 are plotting to do so again. If left unchecked, the Taliban insurgency will mean an even larger safe haven from which al-Qaida would plot to kill more Americans. So this is not only a war worth fighting. This is fundamental to the defense of our people.”

“When U.S. troops would turn over responsibility to the Afghan government”

It’s gone past dithering. Obama made up his mind long ago. He’s now maneuvering the military to give him a de facto withdrawal option. The troops will execute a plan that they came up with that they didn’t realize they agreed to.

the article said he served over there...so..

.maybe its just that Bamster is not “dithering’ but he can’t stop his old pattern of “conducting meetings ‘ as a community organizer would and is just pathetically “lost”.

I heard he doesn’t like the value of the gravitational constant and feels the speed of light to fast. He’ll probably have all textbooks changed.

Obama and the rest of the left need to be put on notice that we will not tolerate hanging these men and women out to dry.

If this does not merit organization and loud protest marches nothing does.

“When U.S. troops would turn over responsibility to the Afghan government”

Don't you wish someone - anyone - in the militar or Pentagon would respond say "Yes, sir, we will turn over responsibility to the Afghan government once we are provided with the resources to complete the mission and win the war".
