NR is trying to putting a nice shine on the turd, but the reality is this: Freedom just got closer to extinction in America tonight.
They passed a horrible, horrible bill.

Not really.
They can now do anything they want.
You really think a Republican Congress will repeal this?
Do you really think a Republican Congress will have the 2/3 majority needed to overrided a Veto?
Have a nice day. :P

Lost the battle. The War moves to the senate, and every day until the elections of 2010 and 2012. Elections have consequences. We felt that tonight. Now its time to make the other side familiar with it.

Believing the Senate won't pass unconstitutional/socialist health care is a fantasy. The Senate will be encourage more than ever to pass it. Now is the time for CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE!!!!!!!

Think about the position the Democrats were in after the election. The Dems and Obama got their “clocks cleaned” and the Left (Obama, Pelosi & Co) could not afford to lick their wounds. They had to do something like this right after the election because they knew there was no way this would have passed if the Dems would have had time to think about how they got destroyed on Tuesday.
The Dems have declared war on the American people and hopefully the American people will now awaken out of their slumber. We will see.

We’re on the verge of the worst and most inefficient public health care systems of any modern developed nation. Entire sectors of the health care industry will rot and fall off, standards for care will fall, people will lose jobs, it will be a huge mess and it will be owned by the Democrats.
Even if one was in favor of socialized medicine, a stream-lined system modeled after Singapore would be the way to go, not a new, gargantuan, unfunded mandate.
Let America experience what it voted for.

Do you really think a Republican Congress will have the 2/3 majority needed to overrided a Veto? Who needs to overturn it?
All you need is to not fund it.

There's a long string yet to be played out here, and it's still likely to stretch into next year, by which time Pelosis historic accomplishment of Nov. 7 may look foolish.

I don’t think there is one. Freedom will emigrate to another land and another people more deserving than this trash. Not tomorrow. But someday.

Rich Lowry is a hypocrite. He urged a big government bailout of the banks last year. What's the difference between that and the government running hospitals? I don't think he knows.
