I’ve never seen someone so completely “de-clawed” as Newt.
Remember he was the Media’s ultimate VILlAIN, non-stop Newt-Bashing 24/7, the Gingrich who stole Christmas on the Time Magazine cover, etc.
When the going got tough, Newt got going, to the middle.
The Newt of 1994 has been Newt-ered.
