Yeah, but better they spend their time on things like this than screwing up the entire economy and sacrificing our national security.

I take second place to nobody in my distaste for the whole BCS system but my God, doesn’t Congress think that they might have more important matters to deal with?

I take second place to nobody in my distaste for the whole BCS system but my God, doesnt Congress think that they might have more important matters to deal with? That's my initial reaction as well.
However, the more time they waste on junk like this, the less looting and pillaging they can inflict on the rest of us...

Yes, that thought crossed my mind, but it’s a heckuva pickle we’re in, that we have to think that way.
Can’t we just install free-flowing hookers and beer in the Congressional offices to keep these guys occupied in something that doesn’t screw up the country in another way?

Barton started whining about this last year when Texas didn’t make it to the playoff game.... someone has to have some photos of him in some compromising position-rarely does a congressman keep after any issue this long...

The theory being, what, that Congressional ratings are so low, the meddling legislators might as well shoot for zero?
Poll Averages: Congressional Job Approval
10/1 - 10/14/09
25.0% Approve
66.8% Disapprove
Spread -41.8 percent

The Whiners can have their playoff—and people will still whine and complain and debate whether or not “the best team” is the champion. Guaranteed.
When a two loss team rolls through “the playoffs,” and takes home the championship, people will say they aren't the best, playoffs or not, so the whining and crying will never stop.
