The effort is focused on strong national defense which includes victory in this war.
The effort is also focused on supporting constitutional candidates of whatever stripe. That must be our focus and we must pull the GOP (or any other) back to that defining boundary and limit. Most of those candidates signing up thus far are from the GOP, and they, if they are true to the oath they take regarding constitutional principle, will have our support.
It took a long time for us to get in the predicament we are in as a nation and as a people who allowed it...it is likely to take quite a while to get out of it. But I know this, the only way we will get out of it is by returning to constitutional principle, one way or another.

Jeff,
I agree completely with the principle of electing those who support our constitution. I could use some help on HOW to actually determine that! For example, we have some local judge/country commissioner elections coming up. I know that from these local elections and positions come future judges and elected officials at higher level of state governements. My problem is it is SO hard to find out what people really believe in, and to know whether their past track record shows that they really act on what they believe in. Anyone can make promises that they will support getting back to constitutional principles and limited government, but how do you evaluate these people? I’m not a lawyer and hardly even understand the wording and the future consequences of some things, so a lot of times I have to just rely on voting for those that various local conservative “watchdog” groups recommend, but even then sometimes they don’t have information on lower level people and the judicial positions. I’ve spent years reading Free Republic and other conservative books, etc, so I have a pretty good handle on the big picture of things, and the extreme danger our country is in, but if I have a hard time knowing who to vote for sometimes, how can the average person who may be conservative but doesn’t spend as much time as I do find out?
I went to my local Republican club meeting for the first time and was asking this question, and they said, well, you can just about guarantee that any Republican is going to be better than any Democrat on the ballot. I know that is probably true here (I live in a conservative area) but not necessarily true other places.
So I guess I’m just trying to figure out HOW we take this from a great idea and setting a high standard, to actually working it out in reality.
I also wanted to promote this sweet Youtube video, Norman Rockwell paintings of the American we have always been, set to “O America”. someone posted this on FR last night. It brought tears to my eyes. I pray that with God’s help we can fight off the evil that has infested our country and have a revival & reformation so we can pass on the beautiful gift of liberty to our children
