BTW - What’s up with that oath?
This effort is directed precisely at unifying that vote by getting people focused on the constitution and its principles first and foremost. I believe we can win elections all across this country with such an effort, and I believe we can attract more and more people to it as well.
As to the oath, it's simple. We are asking people to be absolutely serious. To swear or affirm their support for those principles. The times call for it, IMHO, for people being serious about these issues. In reality, we should always have been. IMHO it's part of the eternal vigilance thing.
The vote you wish to organize is already secure. You are a good man, honest, moral and a patriot. Turn those qualities on the great unwashed, maybe they’ll want to be more like you.
Conservatives have to believe...they have to know, that the principles they hold dear are also held dear by the people they are electing. They do not believe this of many of the candidates so they get apathetic, they get fractured, etc.
I believe we can focus on the conservative vote and unify it behind solid constitutional principles.
I also believe that as we do that for the long haul, we will influence a lot of those others you speak of and bring them to our cause.
Thank you for the ping. Will read and get back to you. :)
Some/many do not realize or use it.
Some give up easily, some really believe they can do nothing to change government, and others believe it is all manipulated by powers behind the scene and votes can be made to lie.
Passiveness or apathy, or procrastination is an evil enemy. It has no power of its own ... only as a person plays into it. MO
We have been led to believe for so long ... not to bring up politics with neighbors, customers, business associates, in schools, churches, family, especially in laws: that we have accepted the premise whole heartily as a rule.
We do have power, influence and a voice and a vote.
USE IT!
Thank you, Jeff.
I want one!
