Aint that the truth?? We just had a Norwegian (same difference) stay with us for a week. He literally did not know that an average work day was 8 hours. 25 year old guy, mind you. Never worked a day in his life. He says to my husband, “So, what do you work, the average 6 hour day?”

I’ve visited Finland twice — it’s lovely — cold, but lovely. Good reindeer meat, too.

Given that they share a big border with Russia, they used to try very hard to ‘get along’ before USSR fell apart (more or less).

They have a couple million people in total in Finland — that’s all. It would be absolutely impossible to compare Finland to anyplace in the USA — .
