There is no explicit 'two parent definition' from the First Congress. There's certainly not one quoted in SR511.

There is no definition of "whereas" or "evidence" or "is" either. There doesn't have to be. The meanings are understood from the text by reasonable people with reasonable minds.

You did not answer his question and it is a good one because if you don’t care it can only mean that you are an Obama supporter.

And that answer there can only mean that you are a fool. I had more than enough reasons not to vote for Obama last November based solely on his stand on taxes, spending, government, and international affairs. Unlike you, apparently, I didn't need to dwell on his childhood or his college career or his mother or his father. Is Obama Constitutionally qualified to be president? Yeah, I think so. I haven't seen anything really from the Birther fringe to show otherwise, and since there is nothing in the law that required Obama to do more than he did to prove his eligibility then the case is closed as far as I'm concerned. Does that make be an Obama supporter in your eyes? I honestly couldn't care less. Do I root against Orly Taitz and her legal freakshow? I want the law to run its course regardless of who Orly has in her sights, and I expect it to do just that. Regardless of how Judge Carter rules on the motion to dismiss, one thing that will definitely differentiate me from you Birthers is that no matter what his decision I won't personally attack Judge Carter or question his honesty or patriotism.

Unlike you and your Birther buddies I'm moving on and looking towards 2010 and 2012.

Why you have that point of view - you are a lefty, a paid Obot or both - is your business and doesn’t change the bottom line.

I've noticed that you Birthers are one-trick ponies who somehow conclude that blind worship of Orly Tairtz is the sole indicator of who is conservative and who is not. Yet another reason why your opinions should not be treated seriouosly.

Your group disowned me, not too long ago, for being honest about agreeing with N-S on the issue of standing

So then you took your cookies home and went over to the dark side??? Is that a grown up decision???

and for thoroughly detesting Orly Taitz and her freak show.

Okay so you detest her. Do you equally detest Barack Obama and his freak show, or does he get a pass in your book???

There’s precious little intellectual honesty in the birther community.

Oh please. That is the most dishonest statement that you have ever issued here. You have the audacity to side with the Obamabots even though you claim that Obama is not a natural born citizen, and thus not qualified to be in the Oval Office. What does that make you???

There are a few honest ones, but most of them prefer to launch personal attacks simply because one doesn’t agree with them 100%.

And just what is this statement of yours here -- a compliment??? You are a partisan trying to act as referee and it won't work.

Let's face reality. You want it both ways at the same time. You want to be loved by both sides and yet you are a partisan hack for one side.

There is no intellectual honesty in baseless personal attacks.

What about those that are not baseless, like those based upon your posts??? Time to grow up and quit pouting because one side was intellectually honest and disagreed with you to your face.

Do you really post here under the illusion that the Obamabots actually respect you??? To the Obamabots you are just a useful idiot, but they are not intellectually honest enough to tell you that. And you are not intellectually honest enough to know it.

If you go back to where I first offered by LawProf bet to Red Steel, I said that I'd bet that every Constitutional Law professor I could ask would tell me that there is no 'two citizen parent' requirement. I similarly maintain that any lawyer I ask would answer the same, regardless of political persuasion.

So then the lawyers who drew up the Senate Resolution SR511 didn't know what the words that they used meant???

Why don't you give that resolution to one of those professors you would like to bet on and ask them just what made John McCain a natural born citizen per that resolution: his two citizen parent birth or birth outside the U.S.???

Neither I nor any other legal professional will ever hold a physical document that has any more authority on the matter than that statement conveys. Nor will you, or anyone else here.

What???? Physical documents and cross-examination of witness statements are the heart and soul of the legal profession. And you claim to be a lawyer??? LOL.

A week seems like a long time

I have a feeling that today (?) will bring a dismissal from Judge Carter with a lengthy legal explanation and a somewhat kinder and more judicial tone than what we are used to from Judge Land.

All of which doesn't alter the fact that Orly Taitz is a total whackadoodle

She's not a total whackadoodle. To my understanding, she's been a past delegate for AIPAC, and has been spokesperson for that organization; by some accounts, she still is spokesperson. That's not a whackadoodle organization, and would not have whackadoodle persons in their employ. Jamie Gorelick is their legal counsel. Gorelick is many negative things, but whackadoodle is not one of them.

In my estimation, Taitz is either an epically bad attorney who acts solely upon emotion, or she just plays one in eligibility cases, which makes her a very good actress.

BS. Donofrio case had everything to do with Obama admitting he had a Kenyan citizenship at birth in October of 2008.

I'll be back later for further responses, but I wanted to address this flat-out falsehood now. No point in letting the really blatant made-up stuff stand unrebutted for long. Because Donofrio had *nothing* to do with Obama admitting he had a Kenyan citizenship in October 2008.

I'm able to say this so certainly because Newsbusters reported in September 2008 that Fightthesmears.com was already admitting that Obama was born with Kenyan citizenship. Donofrio had nothing to do with that admission being added to the website.

If you're going to make up a timeline to suit your own ends, it's a good idea to make sure there aren't sources that directly contradict it.

The Taitz lunatic deserved a spanking. She's an embarrassment.

Indeed:

Other Obama-related conspiracy theories Taitz has repeated include:
* A number of homosexuals from Obama's former church have died mysteriously.
* Obama has dozens of social security numbers, and his passport is inaccurate. Taitz claims that a person who was cooperating with the FBI in connection with Obama's passport died mysteriously, "shot in the head".
* A Kenyan birth certificate with the name "Barack Obama" is authentic.
* Obama's first act as president was to donate money to Hamas, which she claims will be used to build Qassam rockets.
* Obama or someone connected to him has made threats to Taitz's life, including vandalizing her car.
* Obama is having FEMA build internment camps for "Anti-Obama dissidents"
Taitz also has advanced or supported a number of other conspiracy theories not directly related to Obama, including:
* that Goldman Sachs runs the United States Treasury,
* that Baxter International has developed a bird flu vaccine that kills people,
* that Representative Alcee Hastings and the House of Representatives are planning to build at least six labor camps,
* that Hugo Chavez owns the software that runs American voting machines,
* that FactCheck is untrustworthy because of its links to the Annenberg Foundation,
* and that Fox News is partly owned by Saudi Arabia.
Taitz has also advocated numerous Internet-related conspiracy theories, including complaints about alleged PayPal attacks and the previous deletion of her Wikipedia entry and allegations that Google improperly flagged her web page as an attack site and suppressed search results for her name.

““The Court has actually received correspondence challeng[ing] the undersigned to a ‘round of fisticuffs on the Courthouse Square,’ asserted that the President is not human.”

Can you believe that?

Answer: Yes. The birther and the UFO Roswell movement were bound to get together sooner or later. Same mindset.

parsy, who is here from the Denebian system

Is it just a coincidence that Al Gore was born 9 months after the Roswell incident? ;-)

I'm not sure why I have to keep repeating that I voted for Bob Barr.

Probably because you are hoping that if you repeat a prefabrication enough times, you might actually begin to believe it.

My simple conclusion is that we have seen no more evidence of the alleged fact that mlo is 35, than we have of OB being qualified to be president.

His assertions about that are proof of his illogic on both subjects and provide insight into his persistence on protecting a suspected fraud of the highest order.

OK, one more quick reply.

I recognize LorenC’s writing style from other locations.

That shouldn't be a very hard deduction to make, considering that I post under my real name.

She's well-prepared, but superficially-researched.

Speaking of superficially-researched: I'm a guy.

Yep. Going back to one of the primary sources cited by the article, I also found these golden Orly quotes:
* There's a cemetery somewhere in Arizona where they just dug 30,000 fresh graves, which wait now for the revolution.
* Google an article in the San Francisco Chronicle about train cars with shackles.
All I can say is that reasoning with people who take this woman seriously is as futile as administering medicine to the dead.
