I guess I’m on the side of fixing the culture. Not the way some of the radical breast-feeding crowd do it, but I think asserting your rights by feeding in public is the way to go.
Some people think it’s just fun spouting off about how gross or disgusting or warped it is for a woman to want to breast-feed a 22-month-old woman.
But in the REAL WORLD, women have to put up with the real-life issue of breastfeeding their children, in a culture where a lot of people feel like it’s their right to spout off about them breast-feeding their children inappropriately.
I’ve posted a link, and quotes from multiple scientific organizations all of whom say that scientifically, it is good for a woman to be breast-feeding a 22-month old child.
It’s unfortunate that I have to do that, but too many smart people here at FR remain ignorant, and willfully so, about this, but speak as if they know what they are talking about.
Hopefully, women reading this thread will get the right information, and won’t be turned off to breastfeeding because of the attacks made by people here. I’m sure you just meant it in fun, but breastfeeding women are being discouraged by ignorant rants about how they are wrong to breastfeed their older infants.
I hope that when you step back, you can look at the scientific literature I have linked, and realise your error.
Or you can try to mislead women by ranting about how you can attack one source because they don’t oppose homosexual couples. This isn’t a political argument, it’s a scientific one.

She obviously loved her little ones by breast-feeding them, while respecting the rights of others to not have to watch.
It’s the loving thing to do.
