Those 35 hour work weeks and 5 weeks of vacation will do that to you.

Working for scummy and slimy General Electric must be pretty comparable. GE loves their boys Olberman and Obama - what a corrupt company.

Yeah! What gives?? Why don’t they just quit?
To: Berlin_Freeper
Why didnt he quit. He’d probably get more in benefits than from working. Notice they blame the company.

Now I know this is a serious topic, but man that was funny!

Why can’t they do the red-blooded American thing and shoot the place up? < /s>

Why cant they do the red-blooded American thing and shoot the place up? No guns. Maybe they should outlaw bridges or windows above the first floor?

I'm not sure you can use the words "French" and "work" in the same sentence.

And people say socialism doesn’t work. That’s 24 people who don’t need health care and 24 new job openings for the unemployed.

Interesting theory.
I know you meant to be a smartass with that comment. But I’m actually wondering if you are right.
Think about this...when everyone in the whole dam country works 35 hours and get 5 weeks vacation...it isn’t going to feel that special. Right?
How is a work-aholic going to cope with something like that? Especially a work-aholic that is broke! No option to make a little extra cash, and no money to spend during all that time off.
I think I’d go nuts too.

...while another man survived stabbing himself in the stomach during a work meeting. I've been in a few meetings where this seemed like a good idea.

Why does working for the French suck? I’m not arguing with you, I’m just curious.
