No...he's plain 'ol lying. Harry, "the war is lost" strikes again. Obama wouldn't be speaking tomorrow if it were true.
They’re going down the tubes.
“Republicans should campaign on REPEALING anything that gets passed.”
Agree. The only problem is that until the One is evicted from the White House in 2012, it would take 2/3 of House and 2/3 of Senate to overturn his veto. There’s no way he’d allow it to be repealed if it gets rammed down our throats.
Good one.
And immigration reform was a done deal too as I recall.
Let me see 10% of a 1,000 page document is ...
Oh piece of cake they only have to hammer out 100 pages of a bill they haven’t even read yet.
What are you waiting for BHO-Reid-Pelosi? Bring it you Marxist Fascist Commie PIGS.
Yep. Then you keep campaigning against it until you have that 2/3rds. In the mean time, you use the House’s power of the purse to block enactment in every way possible.
These cretins didn’t work out the complexities in a one-hour meeting.
They just decided to ram it down our throats before the rebellions gets worse.
They can pass it without a single Pub vote.
What are they waiting for...VOTE!!
McLame has a strong opponent in his election attempt next year.
When reconsiliation is force through, is this when all hell breaks loose?
Out of the 4 senators you mentioned, I’d take Larry Craig over the other 3.
Dont forget bob smith of NH and the ferrier of RI.
9th needs to be split.
Bloomberg.com, Feb. 9, 09, by Betsy McCaughey,
the Federal Coordinating Council for Comparative Effectiveness Research (190-192). The goal,.... is to slow the development and use of new medications and technologies because they are driving up costs.....forgo experimental treatments,.....
Elderly Hardest Hit
Daschle says health-care reform will not be pain free. Seniors should be more accepting of the conditions that come with age instead of treating them. That means the elderly will bear the brunt.
Medicare now pays for treatments deemed safe and effective. The stimulus bill would change that and apply a cost- effectiveness standard set by the Federal Council (464).
The Federal Council is modeled after a U.K. board....This board approves or rejects treatments using a formula that divides the cost of the treatment by the number of years the patient is likely to benefit. Treatments for younger patients are more often approved than treatments for diseases that affect the elderly, such as osteoporosis.
Hidden Provisions
If the Obama administrations economic stimulus bill passes the Senate in its current form, seniors in the U.S. will face similar rationing. Defenders of the system say that individuals benefit in younger years and sacrifice later.
The stimulus bill will affect every part of health care, from medical and nursing education, to how patients are treated and how much hospitals get paid. The bill allocates more funding for this bureaucracy than for the Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Force combined (90-92, 174-177, 181).
Hiding health legislation in a stimulus bill is intentional. Daschle supported the Clinton administrations health-care overhaul in 1994, and attributed its failure to debate and delay. A year ago, Daschle wrote that the next president should act quickly before critics mount an opposition. If that means attaching a health-care plan to the federal budget, so be it, he said. The issue is too important to be stalled by Senate protocol.
More Scrutiny Needed
....... In truth, this bill needs more scrutiny.
The health-care industry is the largest employer in the U.S. It produces almost 17 percent of the nations gross domestic product. Yet the bill treats health care the way European governments do: as a cost problem instead of a growth industry. .....This stimulus is dangerous to your health and the economy. How many of us really knew that all this was in the stimulus bill. Fully 1/2 of the deathcare bill is already law passed with the stimulus bill. Even without the rest of it we already have in place the death panels.

If it takes 50.1% to pass a bill and if they are 90% there, then they only have a little over 45% support.
90%? LOL.
Like 100% of Iraqis voted for Saddam. Yes, his was the only name allowed on the ballot, and most didn’t even bother to show up to vote, but still, 100%!!!! An election only a democrat could love.
