I think he does. He has radical leftist leanings, and surrounds himself with radical leftists. IMO, he believes that since America was asleep enough to elect him, then they’re asleep enough to allow a guy like Van Jones to work for him. He thinks to himself “hey, my past is shady, suspect, full of malignant mentors and ideas, and they still elected me, so why not hire a fellow traveler like Van? No one will care. They elected ME POTUS, after all, and no one is more radical that I am, and Van will just be a mere “czar...”

I’m sure they knew of his rather radical left-wing beliefs. But I don’t think they knew about some of the specific grossly inappropriate comments that have recently come to light, nor about his signing the 9/11 “truthers” petition. They probably thought he knew how to maintain a palatable public image better than that, and probably also thought he was sane enough not to believe the raving lunatic “truther” stuff.

Glenn said that Van Jones was just the tip of the iceberg, so I am thinking there is plenty more to come. Therefore, lets get rid of him and get some fresh red meat.
Obama must have had a career path in mind for his protege. Allow Jones time to "grow in the job" and get some creds so he can be moved up the ladder to more senior positions. Before you know it, Jones is a cabinet secretary.
After Jones we need to oust that community organizer in the FCC.

I hope Obama keeps Van Jones through the weekend. When Congress get back in town next Tuesday, the Republicans are going to make a big stink over this. That stink will probably leak into Obama’s propaganda speech on Wednesday.
