Hey back to ya. Hope everything goes well in DC. I know you will be out there in the trenches. Stay safe Friend. You will have lots of really great company.

BTW, I looked for an hour for the article about the journalist. The CFP website is a bear for searching through. I'm thinking this will come out a little later after the journalists come out of the closet.....maybe, I hope.
Until then, enjoy this...most people missed this one as well.

9/11 Truther Van Jones Was Arianna Huffington’s Political Director
CanadaFreePress ^ | 9/4/09 | Matthew Vadum

Arianna Huffington’s liberal gossip site the Huffington Post has been vigorously defending green jobs czar and 9/11 “truther” Van Jones.

It turns out that Jones was Huffington’s grassroots political director when she ran for governor in the 2003 recall election. In fact, Jones, a self-described “communist,” thought Huffington was so wonderful he was part of the effort to draft her to run for office.

Sorry you won't be in DC with us. Yeah, I'll be there as usual. Generally, I'm pretty safe out there. Haven't you heard -- the commies are skeered of me. Something about they think I'm crazy. LOL!

Thanks for looking for the article. I didn't mean to cause you grief this evening. With more and more folks flocking to CFP they may get a better system for searching past articles. JB Williams is one of my favorites. The other day I was searching for one of Joan Swirsky's articles. In the end, I think I found it by searching keywords at FR using her name!

9/11 Truther Van Jones Was Arianna Huffington’s Political Director

OMG...it just never ends! Thanks for the link!

You have probably seen this, but with the HuffPo/Van connection, it may be a good time to bring back into the limelight.

The Shadow Party
In 2000, Soros stepped up his attack on the status quo – dramatically raising his profile in U.S. electoral politics in the process – by sponsoring the so-called “Shadow Conventions.” Organized by author, columnist, social climber and political gadfly Arianna Huffington,
[snip]
Most speakers and delegates at the Shadow Convention hewed to a hard-left line, their views resonating with the “Free Mumia” chants that erupted periodically from the crowd and with Jesse Jackson’s incendiary charges that Republicans were racists. Huffington herself was a sometime conservative whose cult-like worship of Newt Gingrich had formerly evoked titters of amusement from media gossips. At the Shadow Conventions, she told reporters: “I have become radicalized.”
[snip]
Not all the speakers were hucksters in the Jackson mold, however. Senator John McCain whose campaign finance crusade had put him at odds with both parties was one of the few mainstream politicians to accept Huffington’s invitation to speak. He made an impassioned plea for campaign finance reform, a crusade which – perhaps not coincidentally – George Soros had been a major force in pushing since 1995.

I've been scanning this 3-part article in search of Van's name, but so far no luck and my eyes are now blood shot.

Pence is playing off the expose’ that Beck provided. I KNOW Pence. I helped him get elected in his first term. While tracking him over the years, I noticed he sits on his hands until he sees a precise moment to posture. I hope he is voted out next term. The neo-con has been in long enough.

THROW ALL THE BUMS OUT!

May I refer you to my post above this one. Pence is not what you think he is. He has served neo-con interests over and above the constitutionist interests. He sits on his hands until he sees the right moment to posture. His announcement calling for Jones resignation is playing off the work of Glenn Beck.

No offense Counterpunch, but Newt Gingrich for President? Brother, you need to do some homework. Gingrich is a grandfather of the neo-con movement. The sucker is a coward! Do not fall for this.

And why do you think Ron Paul is not qualified? Ron Paul has larger cahones that Newt any day of the week. Ron Paul has NO FEAR standing up to large banking cartels, multinational corporations, the Federal Reserve, the IRS, and global elitists. Newt caters to these interests. These are the powers in control over our Congress and to which they pay homage. And Newty is their Beauty.

Sorry, just trying to help good Brother.

I’m not going to argue the qualifications or either Ron Paul or Newt Gingrich.
That is beyond the point.

The point is that a mere Representative is not going to gain any traction unless they are a national figure such as a very visible and accomplished Speaker of the House, such as Newt Gingrich.

The rest of what you have to say comes down to an ideological difference which has very limited cachet on our side.

Pence should launch an attack on the whole czar concept.

The idea of czars is to by-pass and castrate Congress. The pubbies should be all over that like white on rice. It could prove to be an excellent issue for them. How much public support could the use of czars possibly have?

Mike needs to lead a Gingrich-style “Republican Revolution 2010” and be installed as Speaker of the House. Then from this position, he can become the voice of opposition to all things 0bama, and campaign tirelessly for his own agenda of common sense reforms. Then, and only then, would he be in a position to mount a credible campaign for the GOP nomination and the presidency.

Sorry, but Speaker of the House is a dead end for any presidential aspiration. You have to go back 175 years to find the lone Speaker of the House to ever become President--James Polk. And even at that, he served as a state Governor before running for President.

The position has never been a launching pad for the Presidency, and today, it's almost guaranteed to be the end of the road for any elected office. It's a fiercely partisan position. The Speaker becomes the face of whatever ills, real or imagined, the opposing party sets its sight on. While a Speaker may be able to retain some affection from his/her own party, the daily public assaults from the opposition ensure damaged goods for a national election.

Yes, Pence would be a valuable Speaker. But if he has Presidential aspirations, he, and the nation, would be far better served with executive experience as Governor.

Those are good points all.
However a mere representative has even less hope of being elected president.
Just don’t tell that to the Hunterites.

The point being that in his current position, Mike Pence lacks the gravitas to be a serious contender for president in the eyes of the voters. He is not a national figure. The quickest way to becoming one would be by leading a Gingrich-style Republican revolution next year. Not saying it’s the surest way, though...

Ron Paul has become a national figure and is quoted, interviewed, and seen more than both Gingrich and Pence put together. His bravado comes by his winning virtually every Republican debate in the primaries and more so of his content than the man itself.

Since the near financial collapse of last September, the rings of Pauls warnings surfaced in those Americans who heard and even applauded those caveats during the campaign.

In the wake of the Tea Party movement, conventional wisdom as to who wins election, presidential or otherwise, will change forever. Newt ran out on us and conservatives like me will never forget it.

What do you mean by neocon interests? Pence is one of the good guys. Then again, why should I bother with cultists who hate protestants.
