If I am reading the article correctly, these remarks were part of Garofalo’s stand-up routine at a club in DC. Earlier this summer she literally ran off the stage during a comedy festival in the UK because she was bombing so badly; this piece sheds light on why. How is it that the audience in DC apparently were dumb enough to sit through her entire rant and didn’t demand their money back — that’s the pathetic comedy in this story.
One thing you can be sure of with hard core lefty nutcases like Garafolo is that they are completely convinced they are the smartest people, and anyone that doesn’t nod their heads in agreement with everything they say is somehow less than human.
In other words, they are the most virulent bigots and racists, willing to broad stroke their political enemies, generalize, stereotype, and project onto their enemies any negative psychological dynamic that serves their purposes.
To Garafolo, Obama, Pelosi, et al, and others of that mindset, the great unwashed masses, the bitter clingers, the southern gun culture, the right, conservatives, Christians, are all one mass of limbic brained sub-humans needing to be regulated, controlled, and taxed ... it’s why they think it’s OK to take our money and time for their own political purposes, to regulate, and to influence, and to try to force behaviours into their narrow framework ...
It’s because they have no regard or respect for anyone not exactly like them.
