Here’s what my sis-in-law just told me over the phone: that was the time Marcos created his SECRET MARSHALL police corps whose sole purpose is to KILL every criminal that commits a crime regardless of severity. You stole an apple? Just wait for one of these Marshalls’ to put a bullet in your head later. The early 80’s was so scary she said, no one ventured out that much at night in Manila..even the criminals were scared.
