If push comes to shove, there will be regional fault lines but the conflict will be mainly urban vs rural.

The bottom line is the cities cannot feed themselves, but most of the rural regions can.

So the only option the fedgov will have to bring food to the cities will be to pass draconian “anti hoarding” laws etc, to force the farmers to bring their produce to market at govt set prices.

This might have worked in the USSR in the 1920s, but only at bayonet point against the unarmed kulak farmers.

This won’t work in the USA, with millions of scoped deer rifles in private hands.

The cities will starve and explode in fury, but the rural regions will be able to outlast them, with local and regional food distribution (farmers markets etc) keeping them going.

“If push comes to shove, there will be regional fault lines but the conflict will be mainly urban vs rural.”

That would be true IF, (and it is a huge IF,) the madrassas that have gone up in almost any rural area you can imagine did not exist. But they do, and in every state in the country. They have weapons caches the likes of which any paramilitary organization or militia would drool over. They have food stores to last for years, if necessary.
They have made a point to buy up acreage which contain, among other things, Civil and Revolutionary War Battlefields and fortresses for their strategic placement. Most are surrounded by heavily wooded areas and/or some hilly, even mountainous, terrain, and they know their areas like the backs of their hands. Hidden trails, mapped routes, who owns what property where, and who will fight and who won’t.
They are heavily trained in the use of firearms, heavy weapons, explosives, and tactics. AND they are brutal with a fervor most Americans do not realize or appreciate.
When this happens, (conflict,) and it WILL happen, they will set upon anything that moves including anyone from outside the area who tries to get in for whatever reason. They will raid, burn, rape, pillage, and plunder and leave NOTHING standing.
We have nothing, or very little of anything, to combat an all out campaign like this, but they have planned for it, trained for it, and WILL carry it out.
While the cities erupt, there will be NO protection against a rural onslaught from either law enforcement or National Guard Troops. Their hands will be full.
Hoarding laws or not make no difference. Those who have planned this and intend to survive it will have/have their own nests protected. They do not care what happens to us.
This is about pure, raw power. Creation of a slave class to do what they cannot. so they do not ever have to.
THIS is just Part 1.

Be aware also that there are a lot of guys out there who can regularly hit a 12-inch circle and frequently hit a 6-inch circle at 600 yard.

With iron sights.

Me neither, but I’ve seen it done.

Several hundred guys who can do it in their sleep are about to converge on Camp Perry.
