Good article. At some point we're gonna wake up and see what is being done to our country. Powder is dry. May God direct us and show us the way.

Ready for whatever happens. Wife made a bunch of jerky this week. She has the canner going non-stop. Got in trouble for boys eating a bunch of jerky. I didn’t have any but guilt by association. Buying another 20 pounds of lean beef tomorrow to replunish supply. Finally picked some corn today. Only thing the woman hasn’t put into cans yet.
Powder is dry. Things just ain’t right folks. Praying for guidance on where we are headed.

I’ve got a Jefferson vs Obama quote for you, just read it this afternoon in The 5000 Year Leap. How’s this with regard to natl debt?
“We shall all consider ourselves unauthorized to saddle posterity with our debts, and morally bound to pay them ourselves; and consequently within what may be deeemed the period of a generation, or the life [expectancy] of the majority.”

Fortunately for me, I attended ha skoo when it was High School, during a time when History, Government, and Civics were required, taught, and learned....and not yet revised into something unrecognizable.

That is precisely why Janet Napolireno puts out memos characterizing Patriots as "enemies of the State". Only the Marxist regime that has usurped our Federal government need fear patriotic Americans!
It is time for regime change!

I just got my dehydrator and want to try making jerky. Do you cook the meat first?

Nope. Got a Hesco dehydrator. Bought a bunch of lean ground meat. Have a little gadget you put the meat in that looks like a caulking gun. Pull the trigger and it comes out in thin strips. Cut at about 6” length strips. My Hesco has 4 trays and cooks about 1 pound at a time. Didn't cook the meat, only added some spices. Once it was done, put in vacuum bags and put in fridge. They say it goes rancid after about 3-4 weeks in open air. Don't know why. The stuff you buy in the store ain't cooled. Anyhow, it's the best jerky we ever had.

Parts of Jefferson writings can easily be quoted, but they do not reflect the life of the man nor his his actions.
He debauched his slaves;, avoided and/or never served in military service; tried to seduce a friend's wife while the friend was away in the service of his country; tried to “back stab” President George Washington while in his cabinet, would talk about freedom but would never freed his own slaves while he was alive; borrowed money from his friends and/or this country's patriots and did not pay it back. In summary he was a self indulgent SOB who, contributed in part to the writing of the Declaration of Independence.
