I don't think with all her accomplishments that too many non-leftist people will call her a "quitter". She may also be trying to kick out Alaska's US Senator Lisa Murkowski or Alaska's US Reperesentative Don Young. She may do a lot of campaigning across the country for conservative Republicans or run for a position in the RNC. In the end, we will have to wait and see if this will be a good desicion.

This seems a little suspicious after all the comotion with Gov. Sanford. Both are Republican governors. Perhaps there is some behing the scene coersion taking place in order to remove governors who don't bow down to Obama.
It also is strange that she is stepping down on the 26th just one day before the NLE 09 activity.
Maybe she is leaving to protect her family from threats by the national Thugs in charge.
